Forums - Gaming - Mass Effect Trilogy getting remastered for x1 and ps4

It's hard to believe so many people on this site haven't played ME, one of my all-time favorites. That being said probably a no go for me since my rpg backlog is large enough already.

I really want to play it, but the DLC policy is just unacceptable. I would gladly pay $60 for the trilogy if it came with all DLC they have ever created. 1080p, 60 FPS and bugs fixed are also obvious.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

You people wanted graphics. You now get to have EVERY game from last gen upgraded to 1080p 60fp( oops) 30fps. Innovation will come next gen....or maybe the one after that.

I will buy the mass effect trilogy full price even if it is exactly the same as the last gen version.

I was pissed I wasn't able to buy the trilogy for full price on PC, so this is my chance.

You are a riot. Well ... since the PS3 versions were botched (ME3 mostly), I wouldn't mind an updated trilogy that ran well with ALL the DLC. Barring that though, I wouldn't be interested. If anything I might as well start building a good PC and get the games there. Those Steam deals ...

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

I haven't played the third one, still not interested with a HD trilogy. They went from rpg to cover based shooter, lost me along the way. The first one was very good though.

News flash, the first trilogy of games were already "HD".

Just upping the resolution and framerates isn't going to be breathing new life into the franchise graphically, take it from someone who played them at 1440P.

Full HD then if you like. It's more the loading times that needed fixing. Anyway yes you can play it in ultra HD on PC for a lot less.
The screenshots on steam look pretty rough, it needs quite a bit more than a simple port to make it appealing.

Loading times were a problem because of the hardware, not the coding.

Considering MASS EFFECT 4 is probably going to be a prequel, I doubt save games are much of a concern.

OMG

Akuze?

Elysium?

Torfan?

Skyllian Blitz?

First Contact War?

PROMETHEANS?!?!?

So much potential for a new shephard, as long as they don't screw it up.

Meh, I hope they dont do a prequel.  I would much rather have them start a new trilogy after the events of the first.

I also hope it's not a prequel...It kinda seems pointless to have a sequel when we know the end result, I would mush rather have it in a completely new galaxy as the original ME series only takes place in one galaxy out of a potential endless universe! I say start from scratch and make a new galaxy with new races and whatnot, maybe have a connection with the original series with some Reaper related info or first contact with races from the previous entries.

But it takes place in our Galaxy! That's what makes it relatable.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Reapers, Harbinger is one of my favorite Antagonists, but my biggest gripe about ME3 was that all of the subplots where basically overshadowed by the SAVE THE WORLD, STOP THE REAPERS plot. I wouldn't mind when the game was set but I would prefer the same galaxy, making a whole fictional galaxy would definetly be harder to relate with.

In fact, I loved the Sol System.

There was so much unexplained, especially the First Contact War.

Next game is not a prequel.

They should just release mass effect 3 for $60, then when it sells like shit, use that as an excuse to not bring other games. Or, bring the trilogy to the ps4, and mass effect 3 standalone to the x1 then cry like morons when the trilogy outsells the standalone version on x1. Hmmm, I bet they'd never do that though, it just wouldn't make sense......

almost, they should release the ME 3 on one platform a week after all others got the trilogy for the same price. then they will conplain about low sales.

Damn, we have so many ME trilogy
