Forums - Nintendo - Only buy Wii U games from Gamestop if possible!

Walmart and most retailers will not replenish the stock. Let casual gamers buy from those places.

Gamestop is a game store, they need games on the shelves and as big a variety as they can get. Each time I have bought even the smallest of third party game, they have picked up more to tske it's place.

More sales guarranteed!

Most probably buy from Amazon new, like me, but if you do go retail, I hope you go with gamestop please.

It would make me feel better as well.

Because of this, I think Nintendo should start retailing download codes for games more aggressively and offer a WiiU with greater storage.

It'll allow the retailer to consolidate inventory space while keeping the book value of the game inventory low (because download cards have no value until processed at the register). Doing this would cut a lot of distribution costs for both Nintendo and retailers and allow games to be priced more aggressively while contributing the same bottom line.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Nope, I do have 9 tabs though.

Does the Wii U give you more tabs if you run out? If so that's cool

Yes it does! Though, I wish they would let us separate tabs into folders.

GameStop is usually overpriced and the staff is usually terrible, just talking to each other and ignore the customers...

Also the lines are REALLYYYYY SLOW!

Buy from Amazon

The Bitch is back! And better then ever! #BritneyReturns

SONY Bring them BACK for PS4 and VITA!

I avoid Gamestop like the black plague. Love me some Amazon, I usually buy from there more often than not, and go for whoever has the best sales for brick & mortar stores, usually Best Buy or Walmart, or sometimes places like Toys R Us and Target.

And when OP says retailers will not replenish their Wii U stock, I'm assuming he's talking about most 3rd party titles since they get so little shipments to begin with (they're not exactly super popular on Wii U these days), so why should retailers waste their limited shelf space with stuff that's just going to gather dust?

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

I don't find anything wrong with Gamestop/Ebgames except for the rip off trade-ins and the excessive amount of MS fans that work there. The later doesn't bother me as I already know my sht and know what I need when I'm there, thus never need to ask them for anything. I like the fact that they carry a larger library of games than your local Walmart or Bestbuy, and I can guarantee my collector's edition of games when I preorder.

So if future Wii U games (ie Bayonetta 2 and X) comes with collector's I'll be sure to purchase them from Gamestop.

Gamestop sucks for one reason. They train their employees to be dicks. When I buy a game, I want to walk into a store, pick up said game, lay said game down on counter, pay for said game and leave store. I do NOT want to buy extra junk or be asked if I want to buy it. If I wanted something else, I'd say so. I also don't want enrolled in a program to "save 10%" or whatever the hell it is. I also don't need/want to hear some idiots opinion on my purchase. I just want to buy my shit, and go home.

That's why I hate Gamestop with a passion.

I will pass up 6 Gamestops to reach Best Buy and be overcharged before I willingly step foot in one, thanks.

Hell I do the same.  With price match and amazon charging tax I've moved mostly to Bestbuy now.

I haven't seen many Gamestops here in Romania! Sorry, spurge!

More than likely you have an EB Games which is a part of the Gamestop family. There are a few others as well. I don't understand the hate for Gamestop...maybe because I work there but I have always done my preorders there. I also usually only buy new.

Make it So.
