What has being Xbox fan got to do with FinaL Fantasy being complete arse over the last 13 years?

I paid full $ for FF11 and 13 on 360 and I can tell you its the worst money ever spent and a complete 2 fingers to the Final Fantasy legacy.

Seriously forget the console wars.

I paid over $400 on Final Fantasy for 360. Never ever again will I buy Final Fantasy in any form. They destroyed the series.

I am more than versed in Final Fantasy.

In answer to the threads question, its because Square killed Final Fantasy.

ESO is out in June on PS4 and XB1. Thats the MMO me and my friends will be playing.

FF9 really was the last good one, in my opinion. With PS2-FFs it all went down, horrible art-style, losing what Final Fantasy always was.

Perhaps it's all because of 3d - perhaps this is the biggest curse to FF. The lovely pixel-art from NES and SNES is completely gone, FF7 and FF9 looked still nice with their pre-rendered backgrounds and not-so-good poly-characters but you could still see some love in their art. To me this is gone now completely, FF now looks way to "sterile" to me.

Naw that cant be it. It makes more sense to never try a game from a series because a few were bad. Let me guess you quite Zelda after Zelda 2, or maybe after those CDi debacles..... turns out Nintendo actually managed to make more good Zelda games after they messed on up.

Its called word of mouth or reviews, will I buy any Final Fantasy these days day 1. Nope. But I still hope they are good and will give them a shot with at least average reviews (75 or higher)

lol. seriously? He not even played he cant have an opinion. He is using the "All FF games suck" logic to show way he does not care it is not on his XB1. If he said ya, I played gave it a shot put 10-20 hours in and you know what I think it sucks then I would just disagree with him, of course that is not the case.

You trying to turn this into a console war. Its not. Every single FF game in the last 13 years on Console has sucked really badly. Because the last 13 years has destroyed FF I am not going to throw money down on another FF. THATS why Im not giving FF14 any chance watsoever. Ive heard this all before. FF12 will be good, FF13 will be good, FF13-2 is better blah blah blah.

13 years of crap FF games is why Im not buying anymore FF games. I gave Square 13 years of chances. Hardly me reacting to a few bad games.

At any rate, FFXIV released some time ago on other platforms and is an MMO, something much more suited to PC than home consoles. In addition, Titanfall was well advertised and championed as the "big" exclusive for the Xbox One, something that FFXIV was not. So it's easy to see why Titanfall is regarded much higher than FFXIV, really.

Just a gentle reminder to everyone to not result to flaming and to stay on-topic as well. It's easy to get dragged into an off-topic flame war, so let's try and avoid that please! While we're at it, try and cool down your opinions on the Final Fantasy series. Going down that road in this thread leads to nothing but ruin.

I loved Zelda 2 on Nes. I stopped playing Zelda because of Windwaker, and Nintendos general direction they were taking in the GC days.

Anyhow as I said, 13 years is more time than Ive given any company to get it right again. So Im done with FF. This isnt an overnight decison. Its a 13 year long decision.

Its too bad then. You missed Twilight Princess since you bailed on the entire series because of the direction of one game (which was by most considered a classic). I am not going to argue about your taste, FF XII was fun to me. FF XIII was a good game in itself but as a FF a disapointment. The only true steaming pile of turd mainline FF was FFXIV original, the other just were not great in a series where greatness had become expected. But again, that is your opinion that those game suck.

I am not calling out your taste in games as that is about what you like and it does not matter who else does got it. What I am calling out is your faulty logic. Every game should be given a shot. That shot might be reading one or 2 reviews then saying nope not for me, maybe you dive in and buy, maybe its a rental.
