Mario by far. While some of the 2D games for Sonic have been fun, I wouldn't compare any of them to Super Mario World or Yoshi's Islands. The 3D entries have ranged from mediocre to godawful while Mario has some of the greatest games ever made with Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy.
