To the people here that believe this is true: Why would Sony not fund them?

Well, because Sony has serious financial problems? Then you decide wisely where to put your money on.

Probably because of the rights.. it would still be an EA/Respawn game..

Anyway I can't believe people think it isn't real.. its from http://finalhoursoftitanfall.com/
its 2 bucks.. great read.. He made then for Tomb Raider and Mass Effect 3 all with cooperation with the developers

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Appears to me like the game was already certain to be on the Xbox which at this point it was most likely the lead platform.

Microsoft was talking with them about Durango very early on and courting them to move Titanfall over to that.

Sony were imo just being careful in dealing with E.A, Respawn a new IP and they maybe knew about MS getting involved early. It's understandable that Sony would be careful in this instance. They were willing to thrown them a bone by offering up the Vita. In the end the game was a good one, you win some you lose some. No big deal really.

So what's the big deal? Is it like some travesty because Titanfall isn't on PS4? If there are any PS4 gamers who want it that much they can play it on PC. Not to mention I'm betting that subsequent installments will be multi-platform.

Nah not many gamers want it on PS4. Not even that many gamers want on Xbone. Don't read too much into forumgoers that try to paint a certain picture.

Going by forum hype, Titanfall should've sold 10 million already and Xbone outselling the PS4, none of which happened.

Every few weeks a new reason comes out for why it's exclusive.

Is it? What were the other reasons? Well, at least this is a real reason ;)

At first it was that it couldn't be done without the cloud. Then they said that they wanted to focus on only one because their studio isn't very big or something like that. And now this.

Sounds questionable. If they had money problems they should have developed for ps3 and 360 themselves and ignored next gen. They would've made more money.

Source may as well be called hoax.com

That was a good laugh. Not many want it, that's why we got hundreds of Titanfall threads (maybe the most a game ever got on VGC) trying to downplay this game as much as they can. You know when people act like that? When they are mad that they can't play it. Nobody invests hours in something he doesn't care about as long as he doesn't get paid for it.

Read the bold part again.
