Forums - Gaming - Microsoft saved Titanfall from being canned, sony lacked cooperation/openness

Maybe they had some communication with Sony and then mention the 'its 6v6 players' part and Sony laughed and went away.... theres the flame bait part over with :p

I actually have the luxury of owning both consoles and bought Titanfall which I really enjoyed (though the player limit is still a sticking point). Though I find the article hard to believe (the guys who made CoD and Sony blanked them?) it could be plausible. But if I was Sony at the time this happened and in the position Sony was already in then, I could see them 'backing away' from it to an extent, and would probably have made that same decision myself (and yes, to only be proved wrong in the end... but sometimes that happens).

It's more of the fact that this website said "Microsoft saved Titanfall from being canned, sony lacked cooperation/openness" when that didn't happen. None of what you linked says anything about that.

If this is real you have to consider where you are putting the news. A lot of these guys here dont want to hear this shit.

The game is not worth a full price $60.

umm, people this is not fake. this is from the final hour of titanfall with geoff keighley, HE INTERVIEWED VINCE AND THE REST OF THE TEAM AT RESPAWN. i bought the app on itunes, all of whats said in that article is FACT. Go buy  it yourself before you start claiming shit.

sounds legit. It sounds exactly right. Sony didn't have the money to fund it so microsoft swept the carpet out from under them. This was around the time Sony was closing buildings and axing divisions.

You should read the full ebook/app. It talks about how they approached Sony multiple times even prior to signing the deal with MS and were essentially turned away. Most likely due to the financial situation they are in. Funding indies is one thing and funding third party is another.

oh my god, what has become of the internet, Nintendo can't do right, Microsoft can't do right, the only company that can do right is Sony, any article about something good about Nintendo or Microsoft will be plagued by "yes but Sony it's so much better and they sold 7 millions PlayStations 4 so yeah take that Nintendard, lolololol".

I know that it's a bad sign that the op didn't give source, but c'mon,

I do sort of agree with him, but not on the basis of lacking a proper single player (which in fairness he doesnt say that) but due to the lack of longevity the game provides. It was a good game and I really enjoyed it, for less than 24 hours (about 16 would be about right). Where as Battlefield 4 with all its problems even prevented me playing it, I clocked up almost 300 hours and still dont feel like I experienced everything, just got a bit bored of what I had. Yet with Titanfall, as much as I enjoyed it, which I did, I felt like I had done it all after 16 hours (max) of play.
