It's more of the fact that this website said "Microsoft saved Titanfall from being canned, sony lacked cooperation/openness" when that didn't happen. None of what you linked says anything about that. 

You should read the full ebook/app. It talks about how they approached Sony multiple times even prior to signing the deal with MS and were essentially turned away. Most likely due to the financial situation they are in. Funding indies is one thing and funding third party is another.
