Maybe they had some communication with Sony and then mention the 'its 6v6 players' part and Sony laughed and went away.... theres the flame bait part over with :p
I actually have the luxury of owning both consoles and bought Titanfall which I really enjoyed (though the player limit is still a sticking point). Though I find the article hard to believe (the guys who made CoD and Sony blanked them?) it could be plausible. But if I was Sony at the time this happened and in the position Sony was already in then, I could see them 'backing away' from it to an extent, and would probably have made that same decision myself (and yes, to only be proved wrong in the end... but sometimes that happens).
The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them.
