Had it? As I recall they first showed a first piece of artwork at E3 2009, then in 2010 they showed the graphics style... no playable demo before E3 2011.

As for evidence: Skyward Sword was released november 2011, that's 2 1/2 years ago. And, see above, we haven't seen anything so far. Would be very atypical if Nintendo skipped the long buildup. I know, it's not really evidence... but it doesn't feel like they will release it soon. But hey I'd LOVE to be proven wrong. Can't wait for the next Zelda.

What about Yarn Yoshi? They'll release that in 2014, probably. And one other unannounced title I'd guess.

I'm thinking a large trailer with gameplay footage and a mid 2015 release date. I also think the "realistic" style of graphics will be used this time around and I predict the Wii U will surprise a few people with its ability to display some kick ass visuals....

Oh and can we have F-Zero Wii U also please?

I dreamed they released a trailer at this year's E3 last night, and it was pretty awesome.

artwork is artwork. the game was announced at E3 2010, with a full playable demo.

bolded: 1/2 years ago? it will be 3 years at the end of 2014, 3 years is a usual dev cycle for zelda, SS took longer because they decided to use motion plus when the project was already advanced. iwata also stated he was aiming for the zelda team to keep the 3 year cycle in the future and we know the game could have been shown last year. so, it's not that it's impossible for it to be a 2015 title, but it has good chances of releasing in 2014 and some people simply say 2015 based on nothing.

The only puzzle piece that's a bit tricky is Hyrule Warriors. It will be released before Zelda U, and it needs a chance to shine.

It was confirmed before the announcement of Hyrule Warriors. Plans can change.

I still think X has a good chance at releasing this year as well, it looked to be quite far in development at the last Direct they showed it. Yarn Yoshi possibly, but they haven't shown anything about it for a long time so who knows. That rumored NFC game maybe, depends on how big and high profile it is. SMT vs. FE I wouldn't give a real chance of releasing anywhere before holiday 2015.
