Forums - Nintendo - If Smash is 2015, what is Nintendo's big game for the holiday?

Why would they specifically state 2014 if they were intending to make use of that loophole. If that were the case why wouldn't they just say a more ambiguous "Coming this Winter"?

You can't change what dates the seasons are because you want Smash this year.

But apparently you can change the year.

Nobody is changing the year, you just comprehend that winter 2014 only = December.

By your standards. Winter 2015 is

January 2015
February 2015
March 2015

December 2015 ..

It does not work like that. It's not difficult to figure out.

Winter = November to March

Winter 2014 probably means....the 2014 months.

This makes no sense.

They said 2014 clear as day. That doesn't mean it will be released in 2015 by any definition even if it technically is the same winter in february. Unless it gets delayed of course.

If they meant january or february they would have just said "winter". Period.

If you can't comprehend fact then don't bother replying, funny how you can have a decent chat about this on GAF yet here people will argue blue in the face against facts because they seemingly don't want it to be true? You can't change what dates the seasons are because you want Smash this year.

Your confidence in your position truly shines through. I'll stop "arguing" though, because my face has apparently turned blue from wanting a game released on a system I don't care to own? I think I'll calm down by watching reruns of the 2014 2013 Winter Olympics.

Winter = November to March

Winter 2014 = you know, the 2014 months.

Obviously I meant that also includes December 1st - 20th! Now what you're saying would only make sense if they only said it was releasing this Winter. However, they specifically said 2014 aswell! How many times must I say it!?

don't you see 2014 =2015 duh. Stop arguing with facts :P

It is a logical assumption that Nintendo will be aiming for a holiday release for smash bros wii u - anyone who thinks otherwise is just reaching

Until you start understanding correctly what you're saying. Them saying Winter 2014 does not necesserily mean in 2014, I've already given you a proven example with Capcom (and no that game was not delayed.) What do you think people call January 2015? Winter 2015? no. That's the following winter.

Nah, I'm pretty sure 2014 means 2014! Capcom is not the best example as Nintendo would never try some of the nonsense they've pulled, and people just call it winter. :L

I suppose I'm not getting a response because I'm not giving the intended reaction xD
