Yes, technically (Astronomical) Winter starts on the shortest day Dec 21/22.
However, traditionally many NH countries consider Nov-Jan as winter months, it's base on weather changes than astronomy. It depends on what Nintendo meant by "Winter 2014". Seeing as it makes sense for Nintendo to have a big game for the holidays, they probably meant this holiday(Nov-Dec).

The big holiday title to replace Super Smash Bros. Wii U will be Super Smash Bros. Wii U.

The difference is it will be the completed version of the game.

Thier big holiday game will be NES Remix 3-

I think that article about job openings for mash bros yesterday is for the wii u version and it will come closer to Spring 2015 than X mas 2014

We will be lucky to get the Zelda U they originally referred to on the Wii u- They will prob do a op down Zelda in 2015 then start working on a launch for thier next home console- The wiiu has Will go down as Nintendo s sacrificial console IMO

Part of your job is to take a stance. What's the timeframe for winter?

Firstly, it is my job to encourage a friendly environment where everyone can freely express reasonably opinions in accordance with VGC's posting rules.

Secondly, Winter is in June, July and August, and anyone that says otherwise lives in the wrong hemisphere and is flirting with the banhammer.
