Forums - Gaming - Molyneux: Kinect “Feels More and More Like a Joke"

I'm glad people like him are in gaming, and I'm glad he wears his heart on his sleeve.

There are many snidey, cynical people in the gaming industry, who are actually deserving of hate.

He obviously loves games, and cares about the culture/industry. At least he voices an opinion.

Syndicate & Populous are more than enough to warrant his place in positive gaming culture/history, and I hope his new studio works out.

A bitter old man that nobody cares about any more. I guess that can be hard to take.

He is flat out lying in this.

"saying random things and it doesn't work" erm... well yeah of course, its not human Peter.

He really is scrabbling around for attention now isn't he.

he isnt the one who seems bitter here.

These kinds of posts, the second here now, are really weak and boring.  Designed purely to cause a row.

Add to the debate or dont bother posting.

People should totally add to the debate like you do!

Calling someone a liar and attention whore really brings across your argument.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

even a broken clock is right at least two times a day

They haven´t shown the games yet, but it is by far the easiest way I have had navigating a system, it makes jumping between games, and movies and apps a breeze, and also makes watching movies simpler.

In my opinion he is right about Fable but it was his own mistakes... Fable had a huge potential that didn't lived in the sequels.

Quoting you again but just because you gave your opinion about Fable

I thought Fable 2 was great and a worthy sequel. Can't say the same about Fable 3, though...

And I never tried Fable: The Journey. Funny, that was a Kinect game that he himself envisioned.

"envision" is a strong term. What he wanted for that game and what we got are very different things.

My son and I sit there saying random things at it, and it doesn’t work.

What are those random things he and his son are saying?

Just you wait until killer-ap Kinect Sports Rivals comes out!

Oh snap. There's no good killer-ap.

My 8th gen collection

I think you're being a little harsh there Molyneux. Kinect isn't my favourite device, nor the selling point for me on getting an XOne, but it's a nifty piece of kit and far from a "joke".

Also, let's keep to quote trees trimmed.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Kinect is great in many ways, just not in gaming (yet).

Many videos and reviews have shown that Kinect works flawlessly when configured correctly, plus I don't see the necessary connection between "TV stuff" and Kinect. So really, I can't take this seriously.
