Last time I checked the HEAD OF MICROSOFT said they are "In it to win".  SOOOO, should I trust YOU or the HEAD of the XBOX DIVISION?

Stand by for a reiterpretation of that quote ... In 3 ... 2 ... 1

The PS5 Exists.

This is why I'm supicious of the American numbers. You can see quite clearly why the PS4 outsold the X1 from this software chart. It more or less mirrors the American software chart but for some reason the result is the opposite.

The sales are close in both charts, what does it matter?

XB1 just needs to win US and UK, which they have been doing the last few weeks minus infamous/restock. With Halo 2 still coming this year I think XB1 will continue to cut down that ps4 lead. This fall if XB1 is the only console in Shanghai, that could be the Japan for XB1.

I feel like the XB1 will win US and Uk just not by much. It will be a lot closer than last gen with the PS3/360. And it is not like the XB1 is doing bad by any means it is just not doing as good as the PS4. And for some reason that is bad to some people...I guess I just don't get it. Oh and are you saying it will continue to cut down the ps4 lead in JUST US/UK or are you meaning the lead in general? I am assuming you mean just the US/UK because bar the one week it outsold the PS4 globally the lead is growing not shrinking. Still though I personally think both systems are selling very well compared to the PS3/360.

OT:

Decent numbers for the most part. Most to be expected bar the Vita lol!

If its NOT GOOD to MICROSOFT, I dont care how "not bad" most of the people on this forum feel it is doing, it is still doing....NOT GOOD.  A console that is "[not] doing bad by any means" doesnt have retailers (and the brand) cutting the price and leveraging ridicous deals 4 months out.  No matter how many times on here I see the liine "its just not doing as good as the PS4".  Well what do yall think Microsoft expected it to do? My Hypothesis would be they expected it to do "as good (and mostlikely better) than the PS4".

So by Microsoft means it is doing bad.

But it is not hurting MS. MS is just trying to stay within a decent range for marketshare from what I see. I mean yes a price cut and bundles says something but it is NOT saying that the XB1 is NOT doing good by any means. We have no idea what MS expected the XB1 to do but it has broken records, is selling faster and better than their previous console the 360. So I don't get how that could be bad? The only BAD thing is that they are loosing marketshare to the PS4.

I guess I just take things differently as do you. But no big deal they are both selling well and making money from what I can see so heh no big deal. So youa re guessing just like I am basically...your guess is that it is doing bad mine is that is doing good. Both guesses at the end of the day lol.

The absence of evidence is NOT the evidence of absence...

Also said it's a marathon, not a sprint.

So he bascially said he's trying to catch up.  Rather its quickly or slowly.  So he is still NOT happy about being behind.

Even if he's not happy he has to accept being behind. MS knows what they did wrong and exactly why they're behind. So they know that they have to fix the Xbox One's image and catch up, which is not a quick thing to do..

I thought the same thing.

No, your goal is to make as much money as possible, a goal that MS comfortably achieved with the 360.

...Me. If you seriously believe that MS places winning the race for marketshare as a higher overall goal than making money off of this whole thing then you apparently haven't really understood how businesses work quite yet.

Of course both of these things are intertwined with each other, which is why right now MS is doing quite a lot to not fall too far behind, but once they've reached a point where they feel that they have enough market presence to get third party support and make money off of software and subscriptions etc. then you can mark my words that they're going to ride this out for money, which is exactly what they did with the 360... or do you seriously believe that MS has to sell the 250 GB Xbox 360 for $250 in order to profit from it? They could probably sell it for $150 and still make some decent cash from every 360 sold.

Yeeey, Vita's finally 8million!

The Bitch is back! And better then ever! #BritneyReturns

SONY Bring them BACK for PS4 and VITA!

If you say so.
