Halo on the original DirectX Box. Been playing ever since. At the time the game was very, very fun and the co-op was the definition of greatness for me.

Yeah, at the time they seemed pretty neck-and-neck, but the SNES really did demolish the competition in hindsight. Sega had some fun games, but Nintendo had straight up masterpieces up the wazoo.

There are some Megadrive games tho like Streets of Rage, golden Axe and of course all the 2d sonic games which I could happily pick up any day of the week and clear through in a single sitting and love the hell out of still.... but Rpgs on the megadrive, I loved Soleil, hated Story of Thor and well... they were kinda hard to even find any here, I know there was phantasy star games for it but I never got to play um sadly.

I had played for years, but what really got me hooked was the Atarti Computer Game - Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves. It was a great turn based game where you had a story, battles, and could play many difference characters in different ways.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned. Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon! |

Many gamers started with these two games I'm sure.Both are timeless too.Most people I know have a memory to share from these two games.
Double Dragon @ my friend's place. His older brother and friends were playing the game and I was oh-so envious. The start of my love for the beat'em up genre. I'm pretty sure I played game before that but that was the first game that got me absolutely addicted.
Not only was AoE 1 the first game I played but it was also a pretty good game for the time.
Super Mario Bros. on my grandpa's NES alongside Super Mario 64 on my older bro's N64. I played them around the same time and it was a blur in which was first, but they were both phenomenally fun.
