I did play a bit of Galaxy on my cousin's Wii, and I really liked it. Wii controlers were confusing at first, but I got the hang of it. I feel it's the best Mario game since Super Mario 64. It's a shame that the feeling I had with SMW cannot be replicated. One can really hope that something good comes in the future.

This game is possibly the most deeply embedded game in history, that has made its way into my brain. That would be Street Fighter II: The World Warrior Arcade

What was special? The Joystick with 6 buttons. Such deep gameplay mechanics back then. Beautiful sprites. Just enough story and characters for my age. There was never a dull moment in this game for me at the Arcades. The secret moves. The bosses. Everything.

It was a big fight those days between Street fighter gamers and Mortal Kombat.Both were unique.Street fighter stood the test of time better for me personally.Mortal Kombat was great in the first instalments though.When it went 3d things didn't go as planned.The 360-ps3 game redeemed it though.

Most memorable moveset and charachters in any fighting game ever.Till this very day.

The only downside the galaxy games had was that they abandoned the big worlds and exploration found on super mario 64.I play that particular game even today and it never gets old.Best launch game by far.I would jump like crazy if they announced a new Super mario 64 like game on Wii U.

Super Mario got me into gaming. Was playing since '85. I still play Mario, and 3D World is amazing!

Other series that keep me into gaming are Lunar, Suikoden, Xeno series, Castlevania, Tales Of, Fire Emblem, Smash, and Mario Kart. I'm also looking forward to playing Bayonetta 2 though I never played the first. What sucks is that the Lunar and Suikoden series are no longer being made.

I also used to be an avid Final Fantasy gamer, but I feel the series has gone so far downhill that I've really stopped playing them after X. (Though I have played them all to some degree with my older brother still liking the series, although he also believes the series has gone WAY down hill.)

Space Invaders.

They brought an arcade cabinet into the youth club at our school, and it was the first video game I ever saw. Or should I say heard, because I never got to see it for the first few weeks because there was such a huge crowd around it all the time. But when I did get to play it, it awoke the gamer in me.

It was the only experience I had of video gaming for another couple of years, until we got our first home console, the Atari 2600. It had a fairly faithful replica of Space Invaders, which we played to death, as well as Super Break Out, Pac Man and Missile Command. The rest of the games weren't much good, I seem to remember.

I remember being on holiday in the early 80's and encountering Mario Brothers, and not being very impressed with it at the time, preferring Defender, Asteroids and Pole Position.

But yep, Space Invaders was the one for me.

Hard to remember the first game I played. It may have been on my Atari 2600, or it could have been Tetris on a knockoff handheld...though I remember as a kid being blown away by Space Invaders (I think it was) which they had at the local Bistro, and it was played flat on a table with a giant screen. I'd never seen anything like it-I begged my dad for the game and I think that's how I wound up with an Atari, which came with a 32-in-1 cartridge I played to death.

Well we had a Gameboy back in the day.
The games I remember playing were
Jurassic Parc (hated that game, always got eaten)
Tetris (yeah hated that one too, for obvious reasons)
Peter Pan (hated that one too, because it was waaaay to difficult for me...)
aaaand DOUBLE DRAGON, that one was super awesome

Morrowind got me the virus for good.
