Forums - Gaming Discussion - Will PS4 x X1 graphical difference dissapear?

There is no graphical difference. The question is will the technical difference disappear. There is no game on PS4 that looks better then whats on Xbox One. Its just a few games run at a higher rez and even those games looks nearly identical.

Of course it won't. Unless MS is planning on trading everyone's XB1s for XB1.5 ?

The gap is mainly at the hardware level, so unless MS completely recreates the X1, the gap will never close.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

I know the PS4 is more powerful and everything but some people seem genuinely angry at the suggestion that the Xbox One could be closer in power at some point. I mean, enjoy the PS4 if that's your thing. Let the Xbox fans be optimistic. It's not hurting anybody.

It'll hurt them. Via disappointment.

The best comments so far is about the gap growing in absolute terms but shrink in relatives terms.

And silicon on demand seems like a cool feature, Ms should give it a try.

It's impossible for the power gap to diminish since it's HW, now the output could be closer with time we can't be 100% sure.

Don't much ps fans angry, just tired of secret sauce and missleading pr.

@Vasto: you seriously don't see any difference since the beggining? Are you a disabled game? With all due respect I can't seriously take someone with 20/20 sight saying there is 0 diff.

I think the multiplats will look the same because of Microsoft bumping up to 1080p, but the exclusives...no. MS has no shot there. Really and truly it shouldnt even matter. ive had tons of fun with the Xbox One, but I am betting on Sonys future being brighter because of their stable first and second party.

I love the assumption how XB1 can get better with SDK updates but PS4 cant.
People are also forgetting that PS4 is more likely to be able to free up more RAM for game developers in the future than X1 is, so it might actually be that the gap increases.

Are you not listening to the people in this thread that own both systems and keep saying that they dont see a difference and that Ryse is the most immpressive game that they have seen? I am a PC gamer that have seen real graphical differences between hardware. There is no graphical difference between PS4 and Xbox One.  I know that some games on PS4 run at a higher rez but like I said even those games look nearly identical.
