I believe Japan overtook the US as the no.1 buyer of smartphone/tablet apps in the world, and the most downloaded types of apps by the Japanese are games. 

So sad...

Worldwide the Android hardware base is way ahead, on the software revenue front they will pass iOS eventually, too.

It was just funny in a news about Japan, since it seems to be the only country where Android is in decline.
