Yes, i strongly believe and feel from personal experience that 60fps benefits any game. I will give up some graphic detail for 60fps any time. The gameplay experience should always be number one, not the graphic fidelity. Especiallu now, that the graphics hit a level well they are all good. Its very difficult to impress people with them anymore at this point.

Nope! I want 100fps in my games dammit!   Yes! I do like Nintendo's focus on making 60fps games. I simply hope  that Smash Bros Wii U ends up being 60fps ( all fighting games should be 60fps if you ask me)!

Depends on the pace of the game really, if its more about precision 30fps might be better suited and if it’s supposed to be very fast 60fps would be better.

I used to think that I couldn't tell the difference, then I played AC4. I've been a blind and spoiled Nintendo fan.

It's definitely a stark contrast to the N64 days.

Ocarina of Time was 17fps in PAL territories!

Since the Wii, the bulk of Nintendo's console titles have targeted 60fps in spite of their systems not being technical juggernaughts,  the most recent examples being Mario 3D World and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze.

Would you rather they targeted 30fps for more graphical detail, or are you glad for their commitment to 60fps?

You seem to be implying that Mario 3D World and Tropical Freeze were pushing the Wii U to its limits and that compromises had to be made.  Was that really the case?  If not, then this is something of a false argument, unless you pose it in a more hypothetical sense.

I also don't see a lot of merit in general comparisons like this when the answers can clearly change based on genre.  Hiromasa Shikata has already said that future Zelda games might not be 60 fps.

What's more important to me is v-synch. There are plenty of Wii U titles that have both 60fps AND v-synch enabled. Awesome.

I was really fed up last gen playing games on my PS3 and 360 that look great until you move the camera and enter Screen Tearing City.

I think 60fps is better for most games. Zelda is generally 30fps with better graphics, but, after ALBW 60fps success, I believe Nintendo maybe aim for 60fps for Zelda U.

I'm not implying that at all, just that they are the most recent and notable examples of Nintendo  making a firm commitment to 60fps.

I think they generally make the right decision for the type of game they're making, so yes.
