Forums - Sony - The Current Problem With The PS4

Gee I didn't realize 'Exclusive AAA' games played so much better than just 'AAA' games.  Maybe all devs should go exclusive, then their games will be elevated to a whole new level of splendour.

I suppose after PS4 gets more Exclusive AAA games, this will change to "What PS4 is lacking is Exclusive AAA shooters with mechs".

Except the ps4 has way more games than the 360 or ps3 did during launch and it's first year....

Assassins creed 4
Killzone shadow fall
Infamous second son
Knack(eh)
NBA 2k14
Need of speed
Battle field 4
Call of duty ghosts

All are really really big IP.. Vs resistance and motorstorm.. And some crap on the 360..

infamous just released yesterday. geez.

Just because you like Infamous does not mean that other people like it too!!! geez!!!

Besides free PS+ titles the only game I have for my PS4 is Battlefield 4 and that game is a trainwreck. I'll buy infamous later next week but yea the quality titles aren't quite there yet. They'll come though, their are at least 3 games I'll pick up coming later this year. Destiny, The Evil Within, and Dragon Age.

I been saying this for months.

I hear you. The boring part of PS right now is that they do not tease anything while the competition teased a huge Japan Game (rumored to be by platinum) and also that they are going to show so much new stuff at E3 that they had to remove some to fit in a 90min timeframe.

What do we get as teaser from ps? Not much.

Teasing too much can be damaging, MS are building up expectations with comments like these that have no chance of being met.

So I prefer Sonys way right now, show your stuff or shut up about it, though even they sometimes announce announcements.

and youve been wrong for months

Well, I have both, PS4 and Xbox One and, let me tell you, the PS4 is much more appealing in terms of games, UI and everything else. Not only it have a lot of amazing games (MGS5 GZ, Killzone, Infamous...) but it also have tons of FREE games that rocked my world (Dont Starve, Outlast, Warframe, Rezogun, DC Universe, Blacklight)!

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

I agree that the PS4 has a lack of AAA exclusives. Other than Drive Club (the jury is still out if this'll be a AAA racer) and The Order: 1886, there are no other PS4 AAA exclusives that have been announced thus far. I'm sure we'll see more at E3, but the whole "Sony has more and better exclusives" argument just isn't stacking up for 2014 as of today. Eventually we'll get a new GoW / Uncharted / GT etc, but it looks like those are all slated for 2015 and beyond at this point.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

If you ask my kids, they think so.  They ask me to buy it every time we walk buy video games in a store.  They really like the Marvel Lego game we bought at the XB1's launch.

Is Minecraft triple A?  Kids like that too.  How about Angry Birds?

There seems to be a lot of confusion about what that phrase actually means.

That logic is always going to be flawed.  If only a certain group of gamers get to determine what a AAA(cost lots of money to be made) or "really good" game is, then we have to define who makes it into that group.

AAA to a 6-12 yr old is completely different than that to a 15-50 yr old person.  Heck, inside the 15-50 yr old group it will break down into 2-4 groups.

I think the Lego games are lower tier AAA games.  THey are generally released on all platforms and have decent budgets and are well advertised while licensing large name properties to be based upon.

A AAA title only has one clear meaning.
