I don't think Nintendo wants $100+ WiiU controllers on store shelves, that could dissuade people from purchasing a WiiU if the controllers look so expensive. Especially parents who might need to buy multiple controllers for their kids. It's probably best to just use the Wiimote for multiplayer games.

Probably not at this point. They could just save 4+ gamepad support as their next console's gimmick.

Had it sold well, then it would be implemented, but at this point, its just not going to happen.

It was something we really wanted back when we assumed there would be a lot of awesome uses for the gamepad. Now we just want some more uses for the one, so I don't think it's going to happen.

I believe Iwata talked about it a lt back in the January meeting. So there is a big chance, but with the games announced so far, which games would benefit? Maybe MK, and more probably, whenever it's announced, Mario Party...

although, i would not buy a second gamepad , because one of my friends would bring his gamepad when we play the wii U together.

Not gonna happen. Really, it doesn't matter to me if they do or not at this point. In my home, local multi-player is rapidly dying.
