I don't get why EA keeps getting this. It's clearly biased due to the kind of people who participate in this vote. Your average joe is far more pissed at Comcast than at EA or MS.

Comcast is annoying, certainly, mainly because parts of their service sucks ass. But, I don't think any of them have anything on Monsanto, the benevolent overlord of seeds and genetic modification in the US. Oh yeah, they make some great disease resistent strains, which are an absolut boon to agriculture all over the world...until you realize it's illegal to use seeds that fall from the crops you grow with their seeds, and that you must rebuy the entire supply. Or, if a bee happens to cross pollinate your crop with pollen from a strain made by Monsanto, they can sue you for that too. Aweful company who somehow managed to copyright genetic code.
why do i know the result at the end will be EA? oh wait im in a gaming site XD

I'm not a MS guy, but I think the award will go to EA. While Microsoft servers are pretty good and allegedly stable, EA servers are utter crap. It keeps disconnecting me from Mass Effect 3 multiplayer while doing a Gold match in level 9.

So basically, this tournement has a poor name choice. "worst" doesn't quiet imply what you explained. unless it's an open to your own intepretation voting system.
The fact that they would remain sucessful is because people still give them money, they all have alternitives so if you remain a customer you must believe that what you're paying for is the "best" option.
So I assume the winner would be the listed company with the least customers, unless the bigger comanies rack up votes for name sake alone by people who were never really customers to judge .......
Well a flawed system in opinions from a random group of partisipants can't be avoided I guess any way you look at it......Guess this whole thing was more of a waste of time even thinking about it.
I kinda want to nominate King just for wanting to trademark the word 'candy'.
You're Gonna Carry That Weight.
Xbox One - PS4 - Wii U - PC

I mean if that's how you feel, fine. Just because you give a company money doesn't mean you like them. If you dislike a company, it actually DOES mean you paid them money. Dislike for a company usually comes from having bought their product/service and hated it. And there aren't always other options. Saying that people think they got the "best" option just based on the fact that they bought it doesn't tell the whole story and you know it. Companies are on there for various reasons. Facebook is on there because they ARE the only option. Myspace is dead and Google Plus will never catch on, so Facebook has a monopoly on social networking. People will never switch to Google Plus (most of the time) because no matter how much Facebook pisses them off with shitty service or corrupt practices, their friends and their social network is on Facebook, so they can't abandon their Facebook account. So all people can do is complain, and that never works. Other companies are in this contest for how they've negatively affected people. The big banks have crashed the economy, so thousands hate them and don't use them, but the banks still succeed. Often, banks rely on people they've affected the least for their money. Big investors, people taking out loans, etc. People who are financially successful despite the economic problems. So the companies remain successful, but they're still horrible companies that people want to hold responsible. EA is on there because of how they've pissed off their customers too. There are tons of options in gaming, but a lot of those votes come from former customers. EA has tons of IPs, and they drive a lot of them into the ground. If you were a fan of one of them, or were otherwise dicked over by EA and don't want to buy from them but they acquire a favorite franchise of yours, I daresay you're in a position to vote for them in this thing.
What this contest does is provide a unique opportunity to give a company bad press, to yell loud enough that they'll listen. EA fans don't think EA is the worst company, but this contest isn't for EA fans, or Facebook fans, or Bank of America fans (if such a thing exists). It's for people who hate the company. Perhaps then, you might like the title to be "most hated company in America"? Either way it has a purpose, and nitpicking about the title will change nothing. Just because you don't purchase from a company anymore doesn't mean you don't have the right to hate them. The fact that a company has earned that much hatred reflects upon them. There has to be a reason for the hate. It's not like console wars or sports fandoms where it's largely about preference. The hate for these companies isn't fanboyism, it's actual earned hatred. And sure, the companies are successful, but the hatred they've generated will only hurt them. Bad word of mouth can slowly drain a succesful company of its strength. This contest is bad press, as it increases the visibility of the hatred for a company. It hurts their reputation. And sure, they're successful now, and probably will be considered successful for a long time to come, but even if the contest doesn't ruin the company, it could hurt the companies bottom line. EA has won twice now. You can disagree all you want. The contest isn't supposed to be a definitive, authoritative measure of a company. It literally exists to fling poo at a company. To give a big FUCK YOU to a company. So when EA got two in a row, the news spread, and now it's a fairly well known story that they won twice. EA's public image has been damaged, however slightly, by this contest. So much in fact, that after winning two years in a row, instead of dismissing it like every company before it, EA actually responded. The CEO publicly said that it was a "wake-up call". Now if you'll notice, EA has been struggling in recent years. Layoffs all over the place, lower profits, etc. They're gaining a bad reputation. They did so independently of this contest of course, all it did was serve to magnify the issues people have with EA and make it more visible to EA.
Perhaps you should think of this award as the "worst BEHAVED company in America" award. Would that help? Getting nitpicky about the title of an online contest that should be patently obvious as being intended merely for shits and giggles and not to be taken as an authority on "company badness" makes me think you're just mad that a company you like is on there. It may not be a serious contest, but it has some influence. Pretending you're some intellectual elitist that doesn't have time for silly internet contests impresses no one, and doesn't change the fact that this contest, however silly, arguably immature, and non authoritative, has influence. It has influence because it's on the internet, and nowadays, the internet is a more powerful form of media than even television. It changes people's perception of things. If you're going to complain about it, stop attacking it's authority that no one ever thought was there and maybe, if you really think it's that important, complain that it's unfair in what it does to companies. No one care that you don't think this contest is scientific, they just want to give the middle finger to the company they most love to hate. If you have a problem with this contest that DOESN'T have to do with its scientific rigor, feel free to elaborate.
That goes for anyone upset about this contest. Stop arguing about stupid things like whether it's scientifically rigorous (it isn't, no one cares) or whether it's really that significantly important in any way (it really isn't, just have fun with it or leave everyone else enjoy it). Find a real reason to complain about it.
I honestly see AT&T trumping MS. Unless it's been decided already.
