Pretty depressing that fan art got me more excited than most official releases for a long time. But awesome that people are so inspired as to make something awesome like that!
It's not going to happen. The Wii U Zelda will be similar to the 2011 tech demo, only better looking. A Twilight Princess art direction and no top-down or cel-shaded stuff in sight.
Expect a similar use of the GamePad that we saw with Wind Waker HD with the addition of a couple of new items that use the GamePad features.
Everyone really needs to stop worrying about Zelda U.
Let's hope not that would be a terrible idea even though I'm not a huge fan of Zelda and the only one I beat and beat numerous down was the top down view A Link to the Past.

It'd be lovely if you were right about the tech demo. Most people are worried it will have some cartoony style and hope it will be in the tech demo's style instead.

Are there still people who don't what that 2D?
A total top down Zelda will not happen with the Wii U. What will happen; is this, with the gamepad the puzzles to unlock doors, chests, etc will be top down and top down while you hold up towards the t.v. for doors. Also maybe if enter some rooms where only the view is from the top. The top down part is too integrate the gamepad s full function and make this Zelda kick all games Ass next year. Mark my words!!!

The 3D Zeldas are so very praised, I don´t think they aer doing that. But they can port the 3DS game to the wiiU as a bonus =D

If its top down view I will be so pissed.
Ill be pissed if its like WW/Skyward sword but less pissed.
i do enjoy those games just hate the art so much
