Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft :"Proud to confirm we’ll be bringing XboxOne to 26 new markets this September "

You can best describe that list as "soft launch". A better description would be "irrelevant information".
The Metro group (Mediamarkt, Saturn, etc) has roughly 1000 shops all over mainland Europe. They have been selling XBox Ones in Switzerland an Belgium for over two months now. Pictures of XBox Ones in Croatian and Slovenian shops have been posted. I'm sure almost every Metro shop in Europe has seen stock at this time. So forget about that "..only in 13 countries" jingle. Given the short supply of PS4s in Europe, I could even imagine that XBox Ones are available (in stores) in more countries in Europe than the PS4...

From the noises Microsoft has been making there should be a couple of Japanese exclusives revealed soon

Finally, and hopefully with a pricecut :).

But why not Japan?

Guess MS really don't care that much outside of US/Western Europe. By time the X1 arrives the PS4 is going to be well and truly entrenched.

As someone from Turkey its good to be launch that soon. I was hoping atleast 2015 or 2016.
PS4 still hard to find in here. If XONE advertise well aka like X360 here will may dominate.

I just hope For Kinect+TITANFALL for 1400 TL with average marketting it could be done really

Very late, I wonder if there is a reasoning behind that. Waiting till ps4 doesn't feel new and fresh anymore? And be launched as the newest and thus best item?

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Wow that's late

Wtf? Japan is a month or two earlier as I thought but many other countries much later as I thought. Not sure if Microsoft is serious with that? I mean, releasing the console almost one year later in a country like Belgium as to the neighbour countries?

So what is the excuse for waiting until September to launch in these 26 countries actually? Supply issues? No lol. They're scared maybe?

I get Japan, but the rest?

Do not get why so delayed in some European countries with plenty of supply there. Is it voice and language issues with Kinect? If so, curious why do it all in September instead of few markets each month to make sure can handle Danish, Arabian, Japanese, etc.
