No, its a much greater greater chance of 2015 than 2014. We are getting LoZ Hyrule Warriors this year. And beside there has never been a time a new home console Zelda was revealed in the same year it was released ever. Half of which doesn't come out the year after its reveal

With iwata saying they were focusing on 3 year dev time + knowing the game could have been shown already kinda made 2014 the most probable. anyway, even if it somehow skips 2014, it won't necessariliy come in late 2015.

That listing has been on the Walmart website for more than a year now...it was added along with "Xenoblade (Wii U)" and "Mario Kart (Wii U)" and what was originally known as "Super Mario (Wii U)" back after the January 2013 Wii U Direct.

Never said it'll come late 2015, but 2014 seems very highly unlikely. They would of been shown this game if it were coming this year, but instead revealing it at E3. We'll see soon enough i guess, i would love for it to come Nov/Dec this year but its not likely. Same can be said with Pokemon (main games)

That's when Nintendo's next home console releases. 

Patently impossible. They would have to really rush hardware design to get it to market, which could be far more disastrous than sitting on the Wii U a while longer.

2016 at the earliest (though i think there will be no new home console, at least not as a totally discrete entity, but a TV-compatible companion to their next handheld which will launch in 2016. A big brother to the next handheld, with full cross-compatibility).

GBA had a 3 year life cycle, why can't the WiiU? We don't know long it would take for Nintendo to get a new console ready, might not be as hard as you think.

Mostly because software and technology development has gotten that much more time-consuming in the past 10 years.

DS is a good example of why launching too soon is bad. The console really had no reason to exist until its first holiday season. Had Nintendo held back a year, it could have launched stronger and then transitioned more smoothly into the heavy hitters of early 2006 (or they could even have launched with the Lite, which was a fast-arriving redesign).

With Nintendo now slower than ever on providing software, rushing to the door with a new console would be a disaster of unmitigated proportions.
