It is fascinating how bad at coding those guys are.

What would be the point if it was the same resolution and frame rate? You might as well just get the 360 version.

Titanfall is pretty crisp for its resolution, but yeah the framerate does dip more than one would like.
I tell you one thing I can def get used to... those dedicated servers. Nice smooth gameplay online so far, much better than Lag of Duty. Take notes Activision! I find myself wishing I could have the same online experience as TF, but with COD guns / pace. |
I actually haven't played Ghosts so I'm not sure what it looks like. But compared to the other games I've played it's very noticeably worse than they are (but quite honestly I don't care). But yeah I do really like those dedicated servers (they've been very solid so far) and the only lag I've encountered is when I went to a friends place with terrible internet and he was downloading something.
My only real complaint with the game is that it is very limited overall and has no splitscreen. But even considering said lack of features I know I'm going to get tons of playtime from the game.

Yeah, it is their first game. Hopefully it's all upside from here.
It seems Digital Foundry had some influence on sales, PC version > One version : http://www.amazon.com/best-sellers-video-games/zgbs/videogames/ref=sv_vg_11
Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:
PS4: 17m XB1: 10m WiiU: 10m Vita: 10m

Wouldn't the Titanfall bundle take some sales away?
Won bet with t3mporary_126 - I correctly predicted that the Wii U's LTD at the end of 2014 would be closer to 9 million than 10 million. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6673287

This is one case where NOBODY would be able to tell the difference in resolution. And it would help improve performance, even if just a bit.
Really, though, if the Xone is struggling to run this at 60fps consistently, I'm starting to wonder just how the 360 version is going to turn out.
To me, Titanfall looks entirely doable on the Xbox 360 with absolutely no loss in quality. Graphics and effects are totally 7th gen. Still, it's fun as hell despite some technical issues. Plays like a dream regardless of whatever this article says. One of the fastest, most responsive FPS games I've ever played. I'm sure the 360 version will outsell it by far.
Can't wait to give Titanfall a try. Sure, it doesn't scream " 8TH GEN IS HERE, BRO!", but at least the game is fun from what I heard.

How fortunate that all these performance issues didn't affect the review scores. Yes, the game is fun, but EGM, a 10/10? Seriously? 95/100s? How is that possible?
Someone a few weeks ago said something about "Journalism School"?
This game got so much leeway, it is painstakingly obvious.
