lets face the truth psp sold well cause smart phones were not big then.

I used to use my PSP far more for watching videos and music and emulators then psp gaming.

VITA on the other hand just can't take a break with the great game line up it has.

Does it matter what made it successful or what features it has. No "dedicated handheld gaming console" was ever dedicated to handheld gaming.

What made GBA successful then =P

but gba has great games compared to psp

and the PSP doesn't?

now!

Ever since 2007 or so the PSP has 2 full 3d GTA games those alone are enough to say it has a good library. Other launch stuff even like Lumines,  Mercury meltdown, Every Extend Extra, Darkstalkers Chronicles and Burnout legends.

I the psp kinda always had games.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

This has been obvious for a while and its already out sold the GBC.

A more interesting question would be 360 vs PSP.

gbc was only a model of the first game boy, wich has a total of 118kk.

This.  The PSP had a lot of great games.  While there were a lot of ports and remakes when the system first came out, I don't think that really matters because it had a lot of great games that were exclusive to the system as well.  It's not like the GBA didn't have several of its own ports and remakes.  Some of the best games on the system are NES and SNES ports, and if you're a Pokemon fan there were remakes of the first gen Pokemon games.

Also, Gameboy Color was its own system.  Because the original Gameboy still had games coming out for it that could play on the Gameboy Color or the Gameboy, there were a lot of games that couldn't play on the original Gameboy.  Depending on whether it said "Only On the Gameboy Color" or "Gameboy Color" was whether it could be played on both or just the Gameboy Color, though maybe some which didn't say "Only On" couldn't be played either, who knows.  Anyways.  Like a lot of systems, it was its own system and had backwards compatibility.  I own Dragon Warrior 3 on the GBC and that's only playable on it, not the original.

Here's a Wiki article with all the Gameboy Color games released and the known games that are playable on the Gameboy.  If it says no under backwards compatibility, then it means that it will only play on the Gameboy Color.  Question mark means untested or unknown to the Wiki author.

Dora and her damn monkey were the reasons the GBA was such a huge success. Makes sense to me.

i say gba cus psp is easy to hack

81.510.000 - 80.750.000 = 760.000...
PSP sold 12.000 in one week, and in one year is 728.000...I see it hard... but we'll see

Looks like it was be pretty much a tie, maybe a slight change to pass it eventually but the PSP had a good run. Lots of good games and it was a pretty good multimedia device for the time.
