Forums - Gaming - These resolution wars...

While resolution isn't near the most important thing, getting a cheaper console that performs better is. The difference is marginal, but imagine this- if developers downscaled PS4 games to the same resolution and frame rate as the One, they could improve things like texture, lighting, Anti Aliasing, etc. That is why people argue over resolution, and will continue to do so until Microsoft drops the price.

Edit: I also think the resolution war is pointless, btw. Just saying that I see where people would be frustrated over it.

Great post <3

That's why I thought the Killzone 6 thing was so funny. All this stuff about how important native 1080p is and it turns out these same people had no idea the game wasn't native 1080p. Had no idea and believed it not because they could see this uber important resolution when they played, but just because the developers told them it was.

And all this stuff about Titanfall "GOTG".

My 8th gen collection

I dont care so much about small resolution differences. Bring on the fps wars. Those, matter.

It is 1080p native.

In this day and age, with the Internet, ignorance is a choice! And they're still choosing Ignorance! - Dr. Filthy Frank

Is resolution important? - Yes
Is it something to be acknowledged? - Yes
Should people be aware? - Yes
Do we need daily threads to remind us of the 1080p vs. 720p debates? - No

I played a 160 × 144 game earlier. It was good.

I'm not proud of myself for knowing that's Game Boy without having to look it up.

8th gen predictions. (made early 2014)
PS4: 60-65m
WiiU: 30-35m
X1: 30-35m
3DS: 80-85m
PSV: 15-20m

There are no wars, 1080p should be a standart in 2014 and it is, it is 2 times better than 720p, fanboys defending x1/wii u or developers which can't handle 1080p are irrelevant.

Nintendo 2018

English is not my native language.

It's true and sad. People only care now all of a sudden. They also can't tell. If they could, Killzone mp would have been recognized as being sub full HD at launch.

If you want the full experience, get a PC. Consoles just can't keep up anymore.
