Oh, I´ve been waiting for this one.

Edit: Not the news, those are terrible , I wish the PS4 would sell like the PS2 to force publishers to return to consoles.

I´m talking about some of the reactions..... one post in particular.

Ever heard of marketing, like bundled MGS V with PS4, adverts of mgs v ending in ps4 logo etc.


Nah, MGS V is not PS4's system seller, you are hoping for way too much with that one.

Why not take into account that Wii U sales are currently higher in Japan than PS4 sales, outside of launch week? That's a big part of what this is saying.

Home consoles are not super sucessful in Japan, and looking at how other platforms did, i just dont see how this is a flop.

dont interpret it as me saying the Wii U isnt doing well there. In relative terms, maybe they are both doing well. 3DS seems to be the only platform that has done exceptionally well.

think about how long the ps4 has been out worldwide we shouldn't be having shortages by now unless it is an artificial shortage created by sony

CANT SELL SOMETHING THAT EEZZZZ SOLD OUT!!

In reality it's just Japan being Japan with consoles now. Also the PS4's library is really dire in terms of Japanese games.

Japan is always the slowest in jumping generations. They care about software more than hardware and past sales patterns reflect that. When the PS3 is phased out, most will start to come over as the games they enjoy will be available on new consoles. Remember, eastern gaming tastes differ from western tastes.

What surprises me most is how many people are responding in a defensive fashion, as if the OP was serious.  People need to relax and go play some Titanfall or Dark Souls 2.
