Can't be that bad if even Selnor uses it.
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

What does this have to do with Selnor?

You know Selnor right? Nice fellow, big Microsoft fan, everyone loves him for different reasons. He used to say "M$" all the time.
I'm just saying if he doesn't think it is a derogatory term, then it can't be that bad.

Less. Microsoft tried to buy out so many JRPG exclusives in order to gain popularity in Japan and still failed to sell a lot of 360s and Japanese consumers (and developers) still went to PS3 (even with PS3's abysmal start), but now that the PS4 is such a strong success right out of the gate and with the Xbox One is still absent from Japan at this point, I see no reason why Japanese developers should develop for the Xbox One.

Less. All those exclusives and timed exclusives did temporary bumps in Japan and the 360 turf countries didn't really take to it. All though I admit those rare weeks where 360 actually outsold PS3 in Japan were legendary in itself :P.
Xbox by now knows what it is and who it appeals to. No sense pretending.

Austrailia lifetime 360 sales are below 1.6 million........should MS just give up there too? How about every country that is so small that it just isn't worth it?
Every market counts.
It will get similar support. Not much then
Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030
I'm going to ask it seriously, is it at least sure that the Xbox One will come out in Japan ? I've heard nothing about a possible release date or anything and it seems weird to me. I wouldn't blame they if they give up already, since they have made much efforts with a lots of japanese games and a less expensive console, and yet the 360 was miles away of the PS3 in the charts. Morever the console market isn't as strong as it used to be it seems.
Edit: So i voted for "less support", appart maybe for the 2 or 3 biggest japanese developpers.

Not really the only place that is cheaper to ship it to is mainland China where its made.
