Why do people say that they should leave out the Japanese market? The Xbox One will surely sell more in Japan than in Norway, Iceland, Denmark, Finnland and probably many more.

As it's already been stated above me, no point in Microsoft even releasing there.

Is this even up for discussion? only reason MS was able to sway some developers was because it had a year to the market by itself. If you wanted to make a next gen game the only optionavailble was 360. Or sit around losing money for the next year (maybe two depending when dev kits rolled out). It didnt work for MS or the developers. Now, Ps4 launched in Japan before the XB1 with no time table for release. No reason for developers to risk anything when the Ps4 is sitting pretty and selling more (especially in japan). MS will not get another Lost odyssey, blue dragon, Last Remnant, Star Ocean, Tales of, ect type of situatin thus the XB1 will sell less in Japan this gen. Also beingso expensive and months late the thing will never take off. No reason to even ship it there. I cant see the maybe 1m in sales being worth it.
Microsoft made a very large and impressive push towards the Japanese Market with the Xbox 360 and saw little results.
The the PS4 already off to a great start in Japan the efforts to support the console in that region would likely be minimal.
This is the Game of Thrones

You didn't get my point. Every Xbox One is sold for more or less the same amount, no matter what the population is. If they sell 1 million in Japan vs. maybe 100 000 in Norway, why not stop selling it in Norway instead?

Logistics. Game sales. Profit.
If the 360 had issues even selling a million consoles in Japan then the Xbox One is already done for. Don't know why they would bother selling it there at the moment the PS4 clearly has its home turf well protected :P

MS is just trying to get Japanese developers onboard of X1.
Japan has been pretty irrelevant in the 7th Gen. Most of big hits happened while they were stuck in a bubble.
