While I don't think he's going that far, he is saying I am actually to blame for someone making assumptions and pulling BS out of a hat to paint the entire Xbox fanbase here. Which would be pretty sickening coming from a mod if it wasn't so funny. The onus isn't on the poster at fault for being bad, we all just need to rally around him and be better so that maybe he is better! LOL.

I'm ok with it though, if he feels I "brought it on myself" it's fine, it's not a big deal to me that some posters are fixated on something like "GOTG". I think it's funny. But sometimes I want to see them better themselves. Oh well.

Posters shouldn't paint things with a broad brush in general, you are correct.  They should be saying "J_Allard claimed this game would be game of the generation".  But you yourself shouldn't be surprised when someone makes that broad strokes statement as you yourself are the one who specifically said it.  

If I go around predicting that PS4 will sell 300m units as a joke or not and when it doesn't someone says "Sony fans claimed it would sell 300m units" then those people are wrong for painting things with broad strokes, but I'm the reason they did so in the first place so part of the blame lies with me as well.  

Again it's all opinion. You can't say a game like Uncharted 2 is better than The Last of Us just because the difference is one metacritic point. It's a good way to measure whether a game has quality, but to claim a game in the green isn't as good as another game is nonsense imo.

87 is a pretty good score, didn't Halo 4 get around that? I did think it would be 90+ though judging by the amount of hype everyone was giving it. Still has a chance to hit the 90's though.

Plus everyone should know this but I will say it anyways, Infamous is going to review worse than this so watch what you say because it might come back and bait yah.

Yeah but no one proclaimed it was going to revolutionize the open world genre or be the game oif a generation like TF...... Also I would be so quick to say that, TF might drop below 87 yet many scores yet to come and uaually as more come the scores drop., hardly hard to beat.

Brings me back to the days when people claimed that "Sony fans said Little Big Planet will sell 10M copies", all because Gearbox said it. (Gearbox the VGC member, not the dev)

Anyone with a half brain knew this game wasn't gonna score in high 90's.

85 or very close to it, is where the score will settle in the end.
