Lol pretty funny coming from fans who say kinect is gimmicky and a waste of money but yet PS4 eye is acceptable and worth buying?

Nothing to do with being optional or not.

PS4 cam has software to make people want it. Playroom streams are odd, but they're also a killer app.

Surprised at the crazy demand for the PS Camera.

Apart from play room what are teh killer apps that requires teh camera that can't be done on xbox one using a kinect?

Absolutely nothing, Kinect could also easily do Playroom. So tell me Dane. Why hasn't Microsoft, the company who isn't bleeding money from every orifice and spent millions of dollars into developing the Kinect, made an app as simple as Playroom for it when Sony, a company who has to lose a billion dollars just stop itself from losings 10s of billons on tv and laptops, upgraded their eyetoy, and made it optional, has done so.

Who cares. People want options and MS dropped the ball on that. People who say Kinect is a gimmick are free not to buy the camera. There are almost 7m Ps4 users and not every single one has said what you think they all said.

@DR henry -- I do get your point.,,,, but theres a reason for why MS bundled kinect with every xbox one . Kinect has potential even though its gimmicky ,, for what it can do ,, it works well and it will take time for it to be accepted by gamers all around. The thing is,, it doesn't need one. Playroom reminds me of that furry pet game you get when you get playstation move introductory bundle(Forgot the name ). Now that you mention it,, all xbox owner has the kinect fitness till end of this year if not mistaken. Its gimmicky but at least ,, it gives you a workout. It works as i have used it and lost few kgs by doing 30misn everyday lol. I rather kinect is being ued as additional accessory to a controller in video games then havign something like playroom.

For this to be the #1 item on Gamestop does anybody on this site even own the thing? Have not heard anybody say anything about this but Titanfall is talked about all day everyday with many people looking ready for March 11.

@MAX--- i referring to the people on vgchartz who have complained about kiinect beign gimmicky and waste of resources when infact they are buying the ps eye which is just as gimmicky as teh kinect. I know ms force the kinect on people but if you are going to buy the ps eye anyways,, you might as well bundled it. Why can't Sony admit to its fans that they orignally had planned to bundled the pseye with all ps? Why are they denying it? Why invest money on ps eye and talk alot about it ,, to then abandon it and not support it? Seems liek a waste money to do something like that.
