If people are bored of BF and COD, Titanfall will hardly be a cure.

Did you play the Beta?

None, because the PS4 is selling out even with no games :P.
USA yes, UK I don't think so. But only because I don't have a really strong sense of how mush Second Sons will push hardware. I'm hoping SS will give PS4 a decent boost (which means PS4 sells most in March in both territories), but it might only be a moderate boost and no where near as big as TF.
I reckon TF boost is somewhat more predictable than inFamous boost.

I am being realistic.
Titanfall will boost sales of X1 hardware. As I said above, assuming it's been doing 50k a week, I think X1 will do 100-120k during Titanfall week (it'll still lag behind PS4 for that week), 80-90k week 2, above 50k week 3, and then remain around or below 50k from week 4 until either a price cut or a full fledged Halo game.
I'd say that's pretty realisitc based on previous exclusive (actual exclusive) "system sellers"

And what happens if it turns out VGC is overtracking the One, like they did for January, and the One didn't actually outsell the PS4 that week?
Either way...

It will boost the sales by a good margin but considering the PS4's ridiculous lead at the moment it would take a massive sales bump to even catch up with that thing.
Updated the OP. It seems that the Titanfall bundle has moved up a spot on the US site, and has finally made its way onto the Top 100 for the year (at #100), but it has also slipped a spot in the UK and still not broken into the Top 100.
Have you learnt nothing in the past few months? You can't just use Amazon to support predictions.
| Soundwave said: I don't think the point of Titanfall is necessarily to have a huge week 1. I think a multiplayer shooter like that, especially a new one ... the goal is for it to be an "evergreen" title that spreads to new users through positive word of mouth. People forget, Call of Duty was something that built up gradually on the 360 before rocketing off to success. |
Until MS buys franchise exclusivity, TitanFall having gradual returns is a negative.
Because when TitanFall2 comes out Ms is gonna have trouble convicing EA for even timed exclusive DLC, if TitanFall doesn't move enough units.
By the way, I was under the impression that TitanFall + Halo has been moving units since launch...
