Xbox One was able to rise in sales even with the Titanfall Edition available for pre-order. The numbers for March 15th will be high enough to have X1 past 4 m. Which Wii U couldn't do in a full year. Thats good enough to win US too for March. Especially with Sony saying low shipment till April. 

It will sell a bunch and like others have said, it's impact is a long term thing. When more and more people start talking about it, it will create more and more sales. I also agree that both Battlefield and COD are now 5 months old and getting older. This will cause a migration for the online players. They might go to PC if they are a PS diehard. They might just get it on 360. But many will want to make the investment to go nextgen after playing it. SOME people will think long term and go that route. It will add 400-600k over the first year to the XB1 sales.

It probably wouldn't push it too much, either.  I think what my lists show is that the majority of people buying Titanfall on the One have already gotten one.  It is the One's biggest, most hyped exclusive so far, after all.  And one that gamers have known about since E3 of last year.  Plus, right now the PS4 doesn't really need a system seller, as it's still basically selling on the HW alone.

Agreed, it will give a decent boost for a few weeks, then drop down to normal levels. I think a lot of people are overestimating Titanfall's impact on hardware sales.

Here's the problem though, Infamous Second Son has 600K pre-orders already while the Xbox One's pre-orders are 385k in North America.  (source: http://insiderp.com/infamous-preorders.html ).  Now the Xbox One numbers probably go up some with Europe, BUT Europe is dominated by PS4.  Plus Titanfall will be spread out between Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.  All of Infamous Second Son's sales will be consolidated around the PS4

Well, if you look at Amazon, the PS4 is still available, so Sony must have given them a decent sized shipment.  It has been #1 in the hourly bestsellers since its debut, after all.  And it seems Gamestop is getting a shipment on both the 12th and on the 21st.  Trust me, Sony is going to make sure to pump quite a few PS4s in for Infamous's release.  If you remember, we were also worried about PS4 stock in January, yet the PS4 was still able to outsell the One by almost 2 to 1 in the US.  More than that WW.  We also need to see how far the One's sales dropped in February to determine exactly how much Titanfall is going to have to push sales to even compete with its January sales.

Absolutely agree. My guess is, the X1 has been selling around 40k-50k per week. During Titanfall week it'll get boosted to 100-120k (though still significantly less than PS4), Second week it'll drop down, 70-80k. Third week will still have some lingering effects keeping it above 50k. Fourth week it'll drop below 50k again and flatline until a price cut and/or a full fledged Halo game (not H2A).

People need to get their expectations in check, their letting blind hype cloud their judgment. Just look at previous boosts provided by other exclusives in the past (and those are actual exclusives and established IP like Halo and MGS4). Titanfall isn't magically going to be the exception to the rule, it's an MP only game found on one other conosle and PC. In fact, my numbers might be a bit too generous. 

It would probably have sold more on PS4 (simply due to the bigger install base), but EA's loss there. Hardware wise, it probably wouldn't have pushed much, PS4 is already selling out completely.
