Wow that's amazing. That would mean the 360 had the highest attach rate as well.

X1 looks like Titanfall may be the cause (even though it's not out until later), Wii U outselling both PS3 and 360 in NA looks cool, Vita failing in NA and doing ok in Japan. Cool! |
It says the console is out of stock everywhere except amazon. It's also the best seller on amazon since it got stock.

Yup, Xbox consoles always do have high tie ratios.

A "companion" system is a tough sell these days I guess. In part because X1 and PS4 don't have backwards compatibility a lot of people are hanging on to their PS3/360 and those are their "companion" systems and developers are still supporting both the PS3/360 ... for example the new South Park game and most people have a back log of games on those systems already. Honestly when I look at all the games I haven't gotten around to on my PS3 ... I have more to play on that system than any of the new machines right now. |
You're probably right as the sales seem to tell that story. But then again, as that companion system get more and more affordable, it becomes an easier sell. I personally think the Wii U has some time to end it's life cycle respectable enough for what it is, but only time will tell. I've been happy with the purchase, but then again I will own all 3 systems eventually, just like last gen.
Oh and I agree that the older sytems do have impressive backlogs.

At this point in the console cycle nearly any decent game will give consoles a boost, and Xb one had 2 new releases. PS4 went down this week despit Thief releasing, but obviously because of shortages. If PS4 was in plentiful supply it would have got a Thief boost too, and Xb one would not have been on top in either NA or UK. There's really nothing to read in to the relative positions of Xb one vs PS4 in those 2 markets, except to note that Xb one is within pouncing range if Sony slips up with PS4. As things stand this is Sony's generation to lose in both of those markets.

It's had that title for a long time. Doesn't mean much though.
The OG XBOX has the record for the highest attach rate ever, yet I don't see that fact brought up a lot

numbers seem too low and vgc is geting the bad habit of alternating between months of overtrack and undertrack. |
VGC seems to overtrack Wii U more than they undertrack it if anything. Why do they seem to low? because you dont like the numbers? is it really hard to accept that the Wii U is just not a popular console?
| drake_tolu said: cabbage, PS4 has sold 65.000 in Japan, and worldwide "only" 162.000... So, if it was not for Japan, PS4 sold only 97.000!!! |
So what? it would still be outselling X1 and the WiiU.
