I keep seeing Wii U sales that sell 1500 at a time pretty damn quick.  260 for the mario bundle out the door on ebay, and Nintendo has it reburbed with Nintendo land for 200 on their website.  So yeah, I think the Wii U is hanging in there.  Hopefully MK can put up decent numbers and keep the system healthy enough to not be a complete disaster.  

It has some great games, people just need to justify the cost of a companion system, because IMO that's exactly what it is.

A "companion" system is a tough sell these days I guess. In part because X1 and PS4 don't have backwards compatibility a lot of people are hanging on to their PS3/360 and those are their "companion" systems and developers are still supporting both the PS3/360 ... for example the new South Park game and most people have a back log of games on those systems already. 

Honestly when I look at all the games I haven't gotten around to on my PS3 ... I have more to play on that system than any of the new machines right now. 

I find it hard to believe that they hold back sales in order to stock hardware for the holidays. However it's not unlikely that they want to create a slight artifical sell out in order to make their product more attractive to consumers. But that should mean holding back just a few percent of the total production.

I expected a production between 200 000-300 000 systems each week by now. However, looking at the latest sales figures suggests a production below 200 000 systems. 

Pretty good DK legs in Europe and US. It's unfortunate that it did virtually nothing for the system in terms of HW sales.

i think you're also confusing DK with games on other systems. it won't magically stop selling.

I have to say even tho 360 has had no decent exclusives in over a year, im still shocked by the fast fall off, wasnt it top seller in US for like 30+ months straight, and the first month it loses that crown no one gives a crap anymore for it

There are no PS4 available on Amazon France but you can preorder the Infamous bundle. It's very likely that Sony is stocking Infamous bundles until the 21st, which would explain the drop.
