Two points to add:

1) X1 hasn't been released yet so this is obviously the PC version that's being talked about.

2) Internet speeds vary quite a lot here, but some people have high bandwidth/low latency connections so this seems odd.

Response from EA to Mweb in SA:

After conducting recent online tests for Titanfall, we found that the performance rates in South Africa were not as high as we need to guarantee a great experience, so we have decided not to release Titanfall in South Africa at this time.

We understand this is a disappointment for local fans and will keep fans posted on any future plans regarding the release of Titanfall in South Africa

That doesn't suggest it's just for PC, and while yes the XB1 hasn't launched in SA, this doesn't specify a platform.

Yeah I'm just saying X1 hasn't been released here yet.

Don't worry, South Africa. I am pretty sure you guys will get Titanfall until 2020!

Don't worry, AZWification. I am pretty sure you will manage to learn proper English by 2020!

Seriously though, in 2 years from now TF1 will be dated and overlooked.

Wow. That was a simple mistake anyone can make. I will go cry in a corner thanks to your comment.

I won't apologize because I read your comment as an insult to my country.

And my people.

Most of the severs are in America or Europe. Does Microsoft have any severs in the whole African continant? This is a good move by EA. They are sparing South African gamers from a bad experience. I can't imagine playing with a high ping would any fun. They'd get massacred.

Many of them took part in the Beta, and as I stated above, they did have higher latency (between 100-200) they said it was most certainly playable and an absolute blast to boot.  From my experience, 200 is certainly pushing it, but between 100-150?  That should be fine, right?

I'm in Aus and i got 180-ish during the Beta and was fine.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

Man that sucks balls. At least SA are still the number one test cricket team in the World, that's all that matters :P

Yeah, I don't get it, even from my CoD 1/2 days, I know that anything over 200 wasn't optimal, but below 200 you could work with.  Of course, my latency is absurdly low now, but yeah, that was awhile ago heh.

haha, but your team just beat them in SA. So I guess the Australians will be rising back to the No.1 spot soon. You guys will also probably win the World Cup next year too. Good time to be an Aussie cricket fan ;).

I am guessing there is less problem with the X1 version since MS probably have tons of servers nearby :).

EDIT: Just saw that the OP meant South Africa, not South America, my bad :).

Why would they have tons of servers nearby  when X1 is not even available in South Africa?
