I reckon this is a cover up I reckon they just dont want to compete with Mario Kart 8 cause that would be a bad business decision.

They should have done it in April where there will still be a drought for Wii U.

If so the we should be looking at a june release. The two games are very different though, I would assume Ubi would want to capitalise on the boost mario kart will provide wii U in the summer. New owners are going to need another game to get, unfortunately they will probably just get another mario game like 3D world

What's even worse are the people coming up with the most absurd things, trying to justify this as a good idea.

they wouldn't lose anything by releasing all versions on late june or a little later. the wii u version would benefit from mario kart 8 momentum and the others wouldn't be affected, win win. But no, they chose the worst option, that pisses off the most people.

At this point I think 3rd parties should resort to making small scale Wii U exclusives, their multiplatform games (unless family focused like skylanders) will not fair well.

To think that an entire studio working on a port that is destined to bomb.

I'm thinking Watch_Dogs_2 will be out on PS4/X1 before the Wii U game comes out. And then Ubisoft will likely release the 1st and 2nd game as a bundle for $40, and charge $70 for the Wii U original. Also, no DLC, nor online play. And worse performance than on PS3/360, although that's pretty much a given at this point.

Whatever happened to 'we delay all versions to release them at the same time'...? That's a one-way street I guess, then.

I really hope that they make good use of the GamePad and show everyone what awesome stuff someone can make with GamePad!!!

But with the delay of the Nintendo Wii U they are kicking Nintendo in the butt again, because alot of people don't wait for the Nintendo Wii U version now because they want to get the game as soon as possible, and then they are complining again that the Nintendo Wii U version of the game does not sell well!!!

I'm curious to see whether AC this year will be on WiiU. Actually I'm curious to see if it'll be on PS3/360 as well. Seems like Ubi spread themselves too thin trying to support too many platforms and, as such, their games' quality suffered. WDs needed a 6-7 month delay and lots of folks on internet forums complained that AC:BF was being held back by current gen. If PS4 keeps selling like it has, then Ubi may feel confident ditching current gen.

OK, Ubisoft.. I will have fun by playing " The Waiting Game" which is arguably the best 3rd party exclusive for the Wii U.

Seriously, what the hell are the Wii U owners going to be playing 1 day after the supposed Watch Dogs release date? I'm not even remotely interested in Watch Dogs until a 7-13 dollar Steam sale now because it's coming out 1 day before MK8, there is noway in hell I'd take Watch Dogs over MK8, noway in fucking hell. You guys need to get real here, if you are taking Watch Dogs over MK8 and you own a Wii U, that's just fucking crazy.
