I won't apologize. After the death of L the series went completely downhill. Maybe calling it a "piece of sh*t" is a bit extreme, but it is very very bad, I could barely finish it.

You missed what I meant I meant that it's so bad that it's calling it shit an insult - to shit. I had to force myself to finish it also, what a disappointment.

Rated it 6/10 overall... as an average between the two halves. I think it's quite obvious what I think of the second one

Speaking of that movie, shit was a key element of it. Nice one, I appreciate it

Damn. So much hate for Kojima.

Well I'm extremely hyped for Metal Gear Solid V's story, it looks incredible.

Games are already considered culture. They are a rather obvious part of pop culture.

Agreed. On top of that I don't really care if games are considered culture or not just if I enjoy them or not.

It's not about what you think alone. We need games to be recognized for what they are and what they CAN be. Right now a lot of people don't think much of video games.

Games alone won't change that. MGS V could be the most deep and influential game in the history but how many people will play it? how many people will care?

I agree that games should be taken more seriously, but the industry itself has to change, not just the games.

It's called a step in the right direction. I'm well aware one miserable title is not gonna change much. I'm talking about a mentality that won't be established overnight. Video games are not the first example of this ongoing change in the way we view culture.

What a load of prejudice and ignorance padib can put in one comment, couldn't expect better since I saw him trying to discredit evolutionary theory and pass "inteligent design" as a better and more proved theory.

Your reply shows how much more non-prejudicial you are. You put on a good show.

Regardless of your thoughts on the matter, it is my opinion of comparing two types of litterary cultures. If you take that as prejudice that's your decision, it doesn't make it the right one. Rather, it shows you lack maturity to consider people's arguments without resorting to the prejudice argument.

Ultimately, your bringing up my opinion on a highly controversial topic (religion and evolution) shows you have an agenda. You can stop now.

Yes... sure... saying "I don't like oriental culture, books, etc" or anything in the like is opinion. Stating a japanese game designer is incapable of doing art comparable to a novel or movie isn't opinion, it's much more like biggetry and prejudice. Or it's my prejudice to think you have show to judge things from a very ignorant perspective?

Highly controversial to whom? Just to people that try to defend that "inteligent design" is a cientific theory that should be teach at school with the same validity than evolutionary. And I have read all that thread and saw your behaviour, and won't engage with you in a discussion, because I already saw there that you were incapable of truly discussion, and that was the sole reason why I didn't quoted you directly in my first comment here.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

You've derailed this thread enough. You can leave now.

Haven't heard of yours mod powers or ownership of the thread that you started derailing on a direct attack to the game developer.

hope he doesn't go too overboard with the cutscenes in this one.

Don't get your hopes up. As long as we have companies like EA representing us and with the popularity of mobile games like Candy Crush, we might be dead before video games are taken seriously by the mainstream.

The last half of Death Note is a piece of sh*t.

OT: 3 hours cutscenes confirmed for MGS V

I couldn't agree more with that statement. The first half is better good but they just kill the show after the major death in the show.

He is not lying. We need more games that make a profound impact on culture and less that are just recycled shooter trash. I believe the industry is leading in the right direction though.
