It's not about what you think alone. We need games to be recognized for what they are and what they CAN be. Right now a lot of people don't think much of video games.

Games alone won't change that. MGS V could be the most deep and influential game in the history but how many people will play it? how many people will care?
I agree that games should be taken more seriously, but the industry itself has to change, not just the games.

It's called a step in the right direction. I'm well aware one miserable title is not gonna change much. I'm talking about a mentality that won't be established overnight. Video games are not the first example of this ongoing change in the way we view culture.

Don't get your hopes up. As long as we have companies like EA representing us and with the popularity of mobile games like Candy Crush, we might be dead before video games are taken seriously by the mainstream.
