Forums - Gaming - Killzone ShadowFall Multiplayer runs at only 960 x 1080 resolution

And now Major Nelson can finally stop waiting*. Turns out the Xbox One's secret sauce is that neither console is really all that saucy.

*(Because he "Couldn't wait until the truth came out", remember?)

How come we only know this until now? And if we did know it, why is it news?

whelp...still looks better than the XB1 version ...*runs*

Well, I never bothered to try MP. I guess let me go play some killzone and see the difference myself.

I think Playstation fans bash Xbox fans about resolution and specs and how multiplats look better on their console because last gen Xbox fans bashed Playstation fans about how multiplats look better on their console.

This is all Karma and Xbox fans just have to deal with it and next gen when Xbox decides humble themselves and create a beast console and if Playstation gets cocky again like they did with the PS3 then Sony fans will deserve the slander in the 9th gen. But until then Xbox fans are just going to have to deal with being the butt of jokes this generation like Playstation fans were last gen.

After all the shit Sony fans gave Titanfall for not being 1080p and using KZ:Shadowfall as an example of "1080p 60fps of pure beauty"(yes, that is a direct quote) then this comes out. Some serious crow has been eaten these last few hours.

Dat Source Engine though

You haven't heard? Source is the new cryengine 5. Devs decided to skip CE4 all together because TF was too much for it to handle. Pretty much real life at this point.

Who cares. Resolution doesn't make a game worse and it certainly doesn't make a game better.

From what I read there is no upscale in the MP because it runs the pair columns in frame 1 and the even columns in the frame 2... so after 2 frames you have the full 1920x1080 image.

It can be called Temporal 1920x1080p I guess.

Because that it generate a blurry effect between frames... I guessed it was because the FXAA but it is not.

PS. 3D uses this tech to render the things too... one frame renders a image and the second others to be combined to a full 3D image.

Edit - A shame from GG to use this weak tech to render the game in MP.

Lmaoooo that is rich.
