Mine was a few things.

As an Xbox 360 owner last generation I could see the direction Microsoft were taking their console, which began putting me off gaming so I sold my console.

Then I watched the PlayStation reveal and I saw instantly that Sony are passionate about gaming, plus their reveal was incredible.

Then I watched Microsoft's reveal, felt my prior beliefs about them were confirmed, and haven't looked back since leaving my 70-something thousand gamerscore and closing my Microsoft account!

I pre-ordered my PlayStation 4 and bought it at a midnight launch. It is a phenomenal console and I only wish I had bought a PlayStation 3!

Well it was the ps4 for me. Xbox one was in the running too, but it cost $100 more. The majority of my gaming is done by third parties so buying the cheaper one made sense and I enjoy ps exclusives more. The wii u wasn't ever in the running for me for the reasons I stated above. I'm not a huge fan of the majority of nin exclusives either. The wii u doesn't seem worth the asking price to boot.

My nearly 55k Gamerscore, Halo and Gears

I picked Wii U first, because it released the earliest and I'm a big fan of platformers and Nintendo games in general.

The next console I'll pick up is gonna be the PS4, since I've always enjoyed Sony consoles very much. Right now I'm missing the money though, so I'll probably get it next year or so.

I got PS4 only.

1) Sony 1st party.

2) Naughty Dog.

3) Most powerful hardware.

4) competitive price.

5) Best design, she looks sexy.

6) PS+

7) It's simply PS4 :)

but I might consider WiiU, I will see.

-Remote play.

-User Interface.

-Faster install times.

-Exclusive content for 3rd party games, that I like.

-$100 cheaper.

-The controller.

-Better hardware.

-PS+

-Exclusives.

-The first party studios.

An established friend base on Xbox Live, Halo, and Microsoft's apparent commitment to getting more exclusives

I will eventually pick PS4 over XBone because i like Sony's 1st party more than i like MS and i don't like MS' blatant disregard for the consumer, at least Sony pretends to care. Already own a WiiU

WiiU:
- Off TV Play
- No Mandatory Online Payment
- Love drawing anime (although I suck at it)
- Love Nintendo games
- All Third party games performs and looks better on my PC
- Porn on the gamepad
- Less expensive than the rest of the consoles

PS4. Can't go wrong with that this gen.
