Forums - Sony - I'm a dirty, dirty hypocrite. (PSV, PS+)

I spend more time on Handhelds nowadays 3DS and Vita are my favorites and I have no interest at all at getting Xbone or PS4, the fact that most games on those consoles are just dumbed down PC games annoy me, even on PC i only play point and click / strategy games nowadays, Walking Dead, Broken Age and Civilization.

It's just that "wow factor" of buying a new product. Come back in 6 months and tell us if you still use it or if it's collecting dust.

Not saying psvita is better than 3ds or anything, but that ps plus value is just insane, i dont feel like spending money on handheld games anymore

Welcome to the side of the Vita.
My Vita never collects dust. Unfortunately the same can't be said for my WiiU :(

Clearly needs a "nintendo+" subscription =p

Even with just virtual console classics, it would be awesome.

Absolutely agree. I would be loving Nintendo if they did that.

I need to stop buying games...

I agree with Wright. PS Vita is a great handheld.

congratz max, it's a fantastic little system. Since you just got it a few things you might have missed.

1. changing the brightness fast - Hold the Playstation button and the menu for it pops up
2. Getting trophies on pre owned games - when you pop a card in your vita for the first time if it was pre owned you might get a message that you can't earn trophies with it, hold your finger anywhere on the UI, when the menu changes hold your finger on the game you just bought, click delete, clear the cart, reinsert it. Happy days.
3. Take a screenie - Hold the ps button and quickly press Start.
4. Fast mute sound - Hold both volume - and volume + at the same time for 1 second.
5. This isn't something you can do with it that's flashy but it's a tip! when your vita runs outta charge and you plug it in, it wont turn on until it has about 10 mins of power soaked up in it first. This freaked me out the first time I was recharging it, thought it was after breaking because it will show no life until it has deemed itself charged enough to power up.

If you wanna give your little eyes a treat btw should buy the Resistance game on it, I never played a resistance game before and loved the shit outta it, also as you can see in my Sig it is a very easy platinum trophy :D (I got it for 7euros new... that game didn't get the love it deserved)

Gratz again tho man, really nice system to pick up, just needs some games and a bit of patience. Feel free to ask any questions about the system I use it about 3 hours a day.

Interesting about 2 and had no idea about 3. Thanks for the tips. My only question right now is, is there an easy way to share photos? I was looking for a way to upload them to facebook

Moving files onto and off a Vita has to be done using that app on the PC as far as I know, and I agree with you 100% it is very slow and cumbersome. They're literally dreading allowing any moving of files onto or off a Vita freely because this is what got the PSP hacked so openly I believe. Content Manager Assistant is the name of the program to do it btw, you should have gotten it free with the Vita or else you can just go to the Sony site and download it from there if you're missing it, annoyingly it always runs on the PC once installed.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

simply kick it out of the autostart in msconfig.exe, that's what I did, but I agree that Sony should have an option for that in the app

I never understood this kind of thinking. Systems sometimes go through a dry spell of nothing you like coming out for it. Shit, I went 6months without using my PS3 for anything other than Netflix. Then at some point......I bought a game that interested me and the flood gates of great games came to me.

Vita has actually had a steady flow of games since it debuted. It came out with Uncharted Golden Abyss, Wipeout 2048(?), Modnation Racers, Superstardust Delta. In the following months it got Escape Plan, Gravity Rush, Unit 13, Resistance, Assassin's Creed III:Liberations, LBP Vita(seen as the best in the series so far), and the highest rated JRPG in last decade as well as the greatest game ever... Persona 4 Golden. Following year gave us Ys:MoC( in my top portable RPGs now), Soul Sacrifice(basically Demon's Souls with 4P Coop), Killzone Mercs(best handheld FPS ever made), and Tearaway(highly Acclaimed).

With all major indie titles also making an appearance on the system. Mutant Blob,Guacamelee, Dustforce, Spelunky?

All those PSP titles that are constantly going on sale?

So how can this system with such a consistant stream of high quality games not have ANY!?! If it collects dust its because you don't WANT to see any of the stellar titles on the system. I also think their is some wierd perception that you must be outside the house to use the Vita or something. Wasn't their a study that said most people use "portable devices" at home??? I personally am most often watching Netflix on PS3 while playing Vita. Its the only way to live for me.....
