I will get the game, but it will have to wait a month. I do want it and I have read and seen good things about it.
My game money is tied up with 2 upcoming titles that will be out in the next 2 weeks, so it was bad timing.

That's because PS4 owners haven't got any other games to buy, Sony sold there console on hype, this is for the gamers lol Never showed any actual gameplay footage in their adverts and never have done then put in tiny writing not actual gameplay footage.

Wii U is certainly selling poorly but Nintendo software is selling reasonably well on it. New Super Mario Bros U is on the verge of 4 million, Nintendo Land close to 3 million, Super Mario 3D World almost 2 million, New Super Luigi U & Wii Party U over 1 million, Wind Waker HD & Pikmin 3 almost 1 million and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze 240k in 9 days.

Could it be better? Yes, of course It could but when u consider the hardware has sold less than 6 million these sales are pretty good and will continue to grow as the install base grows.

It was bundled with every console sold in Japan. That is why.

Once again proving DK was the wrong decision. Retro should have gone with a new IP, Zelda spin-off, another old Nintendo IP or a new Metroid in different style.

Looking at the global sales picture, I can't help but notice that Pikmin 3 sold more its first week. Not by all that much, though, so hopefully, Donkey Kong can still keep pace with Pikmin.

I don't have US or EU numbers, but in Japan the first Pikmin was at 445k after about 4.5 months.  In comparison Pikmin 3 has taken 7 months in Japan to hit 238k, and worldwide it is only at 730k.  With 780k in NA alone for the first Pikmin it wouldn't surprise me if it outpaced Pikmin 3 there as well.

EDIT: Forgot that Pikmin 3 was overtracked in the US.  The last update we got from creamsugar was 210k at the end of December.  VGC has 273k.

The first week for Pikmin 3 was longer in the US, same in Europe, and shorter in Japan.
