They don't own the Spiderman movie rights indefinitely. Use it while they still can, before Disney gets it back.

I believe that as long as they make a spiderman movie every so many years sony keeps the franchise
|
Ya pretty much, given after devalued product, Disney will most likely just snap it back up.
Right now X-Men, Fantastic Four and Spiderman are the only things outside of Disney. I think Punisher and Daredevil went back.
|
I believe Fox (?) is also making a new Fantastic Four series. It's probably best to not let Disney own everything.
|
I was wrong about Daredevil, but honestly given how companies are treating the franchises, I can't wait for them to go back to Disney/Marvel.
Fox owns: Daredevil, Elecktra, Fantastic Four, and X-Men
Sony owns: Spiderman and Ghost Rider
Pretty much a matter of time, before Spiderman and Ghost Rider end up back in the rights of Disney. Fox is a bit more successful (hopefully the new Fantastic Four Bombs), so Daredevil and Elecktra most likely will be the only things shifting over.
Edit: Ahhhh my facts are all wrong.
Final statement based on wikipedia.
The only rights that are still left at other studios are the X-Men and Fantastic Four franchise of characters at 20th Century Fox, the Spider-Man franchise of characters at Sony/Columbia Pictures[67] and Namor at Universal Pictures.
