Btw I don't care about which versions are better. Just calling people out for being hypocrites. |
Bringing up PC is the typical strawman/deflect aregument period. Irrelevant.

Someone who wants a console to play mostly multiplatform will buy PS4, that's it.
There is no reason to buy Xbox One unless you are really very very interested in the exclusives, enough to spend 100$ more for a much less powerful hardware
Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:
PS4: 17m XB1: 10m WiiU: 10m Vita: 10m
Which movie is better?
The Godfather, at 32mm with lots of grained pelicula and mono audio or Transformers 2 at cristal clear IMAX and 256 adio channels...

By the way, I really like this bit "On the other hand, a game can’t run better than the hardware that’s running it. Some gamers would rather point to a developer for creating a game with shoddy performance in lieu of assessing their current hardware setup." There goes your answer. If a game doesn't run at the resolution or frame-rate you want, is not because of the dev but the crappy machine you have. |
No, his statments is completly contrary of your answer.
I think he was talking about games like COD, Bayoneta, RdR and others that performed really bad last generation on the PS3, when we know that the hardware was capable of doing better.

If you ask a 14 years old kid, he'll say Transformers.

If the hardware was capable of doing more, it was the fault of the devs for not putting enough effort on their work, which is the contrary of what he says "Some gamers would rather point to a developer for creating a game with shoddy performance in lieu of assessing their current hardware setup." which is a way to say "do not point the dev for the performance of the game, just look at the hardware."
Please excuse my bad English.

"Much less powerful" after 3 months are still people falling for this s#%$*?
Keep saying that enouth and maybe some day it will be true.
Or, does people buy smartphones that run some general apps slightly better? Well, Samsung and Apple success tells the oposite.
PS: I almost forgot the Wii and DS/3DS effect.

How is this relevant? In this case it is the exact same "Movie", it just runs and looks better on one then another. You are in full damage control mode.
