Someone who wants a console to play mostly multiplatform will buy PS4, that's it.

There is no reason to buy Xbox One unless you are really very very interested in the exclusives, enough to spend 100$ more for a much less powerful hardware

"Much less powerful" after 3 months are still people falling for this s#%$*?

Keep saying that enouth and maybe some day it will be true.

Or, does people buy smartphones that run some general apps slightly better? Well, Samsung and Apple success tells the oposite.

PS: I almost forgot the Wii and DS/3DS effect.

What are you even talking about? it is much less powerfull....Hardware is there for everyone to see...Specs are specs, hardware is hardware, it doesn;t change, it is not magic. You keep denying it doesn;t change anything.

Dark Feanor, if you look for denial in the dictionnary, you find his name. :p

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

You realy like repeat the same thing over and over again. Does it make you feel better?

We are talking about another experienced game developer that dosen´t care much for a fell extra pixels in a scream... But, of course, what does he know about this issue?

I should only trust in randon anonimous people over the internet, and I should also burn my Graduate certificate in Computer Engineering and my Masters in Software/Hardware Co-design..

If anyone wants the cliff notes, he said... anything less than 1080p/60 fps is not true next gen and people shouldn't bother upgrading. LULZ!

I don't agree, but I respect his opinion.

He did? I didn't read that anywhere. I saw that he said great gameplay trumps resolution/fps rates.

You are the only one repeating stuff despite proof to the contrary.....A developer doesn;t care for extra pixels? So? Doesn't mean they don't exist or matte to many. How is that even relevant to the gap that is there? it isn't.

Again, the hardware is there, in 3 months or 3 years the gap is there period. There are as many praising the speed of PS4...Point?

I think developer are working trying to make the best games possible, not losing time praising something for speed (Question: how many miles per hour does the PS4 make? ) and not wondering for such a stupid concept as "the gap".

"The gap"... some people here seem to think this is a mythical semi-devine being that defines everything in the console market.

But ok, the only gap that matter is the price gap, everything else is just smoke and mirrors. Put Xone at US$399 and will you stop whinning?

Who said anything about price?? Nw you are just in full defelct and damage control. This thead is about the Hardware gap, which is never going to change.

If people really cared about having the best performance they would play all multiplats on a high end PC. The people making a big deal over which console has better multiplats are insecure fanboys trying to justify their purchase to themselves.

That being said The Witcher 3 will be one of the early defining games of this gen and will look and play great on every platform.

Hogwash, most PC's cannot run the eitcher 3 at those settings, not everyone wants to game on PC, and many games don't ever come to PC.

People should know the difference between each version, if can influence which one to buy. Performance and IQ are important in gaming.

Build a better PC then because the best PC's are already more powerful than PS4 and the gap will only get bigger. Most third party games do go to PC. The only exceptions seem to be Destiny and some of the Japanese games.

Btw I don't care about which versions are better. Just calling people out for being hypocrites.

Translation: My favorite console is weaker than the competions so I have to bring in a PC.

Rock, Paper, Satellite Cannon

Which movie is better?

The Godfather, at 32mm with lots of grained pelicula and mono audio or Transformers 2 at cristal clear IMAX and 256 adio channels...

I liked the godfather a lot better on blu-ray with crystal clear dolby trueHD 5.1 with all the detail and film grain clearly visible, instead of the washed out dvd version or so called HD tv version. It's still better to view it at it's intended resolution of 35mm, but at least blu-ray comes close.
I'm simply more immersed in the movie playing on a projector with better picture quality.

Transformers 2 is a 2K movie btw, only half the resolution of the godfather. Digital Intermediate (2K) (master format) only some scenes are in IMAX format. The rest was shot on 35mm, same as The Godfather, except downscaled to 2K for digital processing.

When a developer talks about gameplay centric game...it means only one thing:

Next gen is sub-30fps confirmed
