If those are exclusive and given a date at E3 then I'm officially out of the skeptical of PS4s success in Japan mind set. Sounds like exclusivity. I can't see them delaying game for x1 sales currently. It wont fit on Wii U. I bet DQ shall follow.

near future: 2015
You wont hear a word about KHIII before XV launches, it's the same team that is/will be working on both one.

Well, why do you think they weren't released on the 360? Because they wouldn't sell much anyway, even if there probably was some cash from Sony involved, you have to think that SE would have certainly taken the extra sales from the 360/Wii U version if they'd thought that that would generate more money than Sony offered them. Now FFXV and KH3 are of course totally different beasts, way more expensive to make than HD remakes of PS2 games, but also with the possibility to generate way more sales, that is why SE decided to put those games out on X1 as well as the PS4, they know they're going to get the majority of their sales on the PS4, but they also hope that these games will make more money on the X1 than the porting to the X1 costs (if that holds true remains to be seen). With the Wii U they obviously don't feel the same, porting would be more time consuming and expensive since the Wii U is noticably weaker than the other two consoles (I know you disagree with this, but you're pretty much alone with that opinion) and the couple games that SE did release on the Wii U did horrible, for whatever reason you choose to believe. Just think about it that way, where are the Wii U games from SE? They have literally no game announced for the console, even though they have already released Tomb Raider on the other 2 systems and have announced 5 more games coming out on them as well, if that's not screaming 'not interested in Wii U development' to you, then I don't know what to tell you. |
make up your mind. first you mention KH 1.5 hd as if it had relevance, than it sudenly ddoesn't matter.
bold: this isn't about making a game, it's about porting.
bold2: what couple games? there were precisely 2. DQ X was a japan only MMO late port from wii and still did great. it's certainly profiting. the only other game was the supper late deus ex, wich was also rereleased for ps360 costing $30 vs $50.
The wii u is noiceably weaker than xone as much as xone is noticeably weaker than ps4. a difference far smaller between ps360 and pcs (that didn't stop ps360 from running on mid the games pc ran on ultra). overal, it's jus a bunch of excuses everyone keeps making up.

It doesn't matter if they will be exclusive in Japan or not, 95%+ sales of those games will be on PS4 anyway, so it makes little difference.
As for DQ that's interesting no doubt. Unless Nintendo throws a lot of money on Square, I think it has a big chance being a PS4 exclusive.
So it is happening...PS4 preorder.
Greatness Awaits!

DQ IS going to be a PS4 exclusive whether square likes it or not ...
How long has it been since the first trailer?
Feels like it have been developed longer then FF13...and that isn't a good sign.
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing

I'm not saying it's not relevant, KH 1.5 HD is one sign of many, if you want to you can exchange that for every other SE game that didn't release on the Wii U and that isn't going to release on the Wii U.
bold: Porting a game isn't free either and porting FFXV or KH3 to the Wii U would still most certainly be more expensive than making an HD version of an old PS2 game.
bold2: No the game did not sell great also don't act as if you know that the game is profitable on Wii U, cause you don't. The thing is this, SE has nothing announced for the Wii U, this strongly indicates that they're not happy with the performance of their previous efforts on the console, what the reasons for those poor results were is something I'm not gonna discuss here.
I'm not going to discuss this console power thing with you either, I've seen you dicuss it with other people and your opinion on this can't be changed anyway and you won't change my opinon on the matter either, so why bother? Simple fact is this, there is zero SE support on the horizon for the Wii U, so expecting Kingdom Hearts, which has never been on a Nintendo home console, and the next mainline Final Fantasy, which hasn't appeared on a Nintendo home console for almost 20 years now, to release on the Wii U is awefully optimistic.
Can't wait to hear more! Both are looking fantastic and I anticipate them greatly!

Dragon quest X is an MMO. square was pretty hppy with the wii version sales, the same applies to wii u. they get profits from the online fee.
porting FF 15 or KH3 would be more expensive than an old ps2 game and would sell tons more than an old ps2 game.
before 1.5 hd remake, nintendo had as many kingdom hearts installments as sony. and for FF you're just using the old fallacy of: didn't happen on X period, so will never happen. by the same "logic", neither would be on xbox.

Again where are the Wii U games from SE then? porting FF 15 or KH3 would be more expensive than an old ps2 game and would sell tons more than an old ps2 game. Possibly, but once again seeing as these games aren't coming to the Wii U it seems that SE has a different opinion. before 1.5 hd remake, nintendo had as many kingdom hearts installments as sony. and for FF you're just using the old fallacy of: didn't happen on X period, so will never happen. by the same "logic", neither would be on xbox. Nintendo has only had handheld Kingdom Hearts games and not a single game on a Nintendo home console. |
Then tell me, where is it? The Wii U announcement. Why did SE announce the games only for the X1 and PS4 but not the Wii U? The games are multiplat anyway so its not like they could make anyone mad by announcing a Wii U version, or does Nintendo have a masterplan of announcing the games at a moment when the Wii U really needs some good news? Cause, gee I think that has been the case for over a year now.
Or did the development for the Wii U versions not start yet? If so what would convince SE to make those versions? What would convince SE to suddenly start developing for the Wii U again, when they all but stopped support for it? I remember pretty clearly that Nintendo said, that they won't financially incentivize third parties, so what could it be? They haven't had good experiences with the Wii U fanbase before and it's not like it's growing rapidly or something, so why would they try again?
You have nothing pointing towards those games coming to the Wii U, you just want them to, well I'm sorry for bringing you back down to earth and telling you that it's very likely not to happen.
