Well it's better than breaking another release window promise. Uncharted 4 is probably at a similar stage in development and you don't see people complaining about that.

Not happening. Both games are likely to be very ambitious even for the PS4 and XOne, since Square-Enix seems to be continuing their trend of graphics-whoring with mainline FF games. Releasing on the Wii U would require:
- removal of a large number of graphical effects, which takes time and money
- the risk of releasing on a console that will likely have considerably lower lifetime sales and thus limited sales potential
- meeting the challenge of communicating the value of Wii U versions of games from series of which the fans are likely to be established elsewhere, or buy the PS4 version even if they have a Wii U
And remember, this is Square. They complain whenever a retail game doesn't sell several million copies. It's honestly more likely that we'll be getting both AC V, Watch Dogs, AND this year's Call of Duty on the Wii U than either of those games.

If Sony would've paid them for exclusivity Versus would've launched on the PS3. You can tell MS talked to them and they dragged the development out to be on the PS4 and Xbox One.

i think we can agree its pretty much a ps4 exclusive in japan. maybe europe too.

1. the game wouldn't need any major downgrade.
2. there is no risk. if they release on wii u and the game is good, it should easily pass the 1M mark.
3. The value is the same as the others, they only need to advertise like they do with every game.
