It's going be rather unusual if the manage to hit 7 million by March 31st (which is within the realm of possibility). That would exceed the intital projection by a massive 40%. Crazy stuff.

Sony is making(and selling) about 1.2million a month. If They were at 5.3 by Feb 3rd, by March 3rd they could be at 6.5mill. I also deduct that they will try to output more consoles in March  than usual due to their first big heavy hitter(Infamous SS) being released. Maybe 1.5-2mill?

8Million by April 3rd is very much possible, 7.5mill bare minimum.

A price cut for the Xbox One would be of conventional thinking. But I think the context here would be that there have already been rumblings of investors wanting to can the Xbox. So a price cut this early in the game would only add more fuel to the fire. With the Xbox One Microsoft is in a catch 22 here.

Sure, PS4 is lapping XBO and WiiU in sales but is the XBO really doing bad? Its not selling PS4 numbers but it seems to be doing just fine over all. You don't drop out of a race simply because someone started off faster than you. You stay the course.
